I haven’t seen a single thing that has decreased in price. Everything is way more expensive than it was in 2020.
Who ya gonna believe, the invoice on your grocery bill, or “the Hill”?
It’s important to realize too, the quantities are greatly reduced. What used to be a large pizza looks an awful lot like a “personal” pizza now.
Ersatz or inferior substitutes, cheaping out on ingredients. It’s no coincidence they are trying to push people to eat BUGS to “save the planet”.
We saw a similar thing in the 1970s oil shocks and dollar devaluations. Monetary inflation took off, food prices skyrocketed.
They simultaneously started moving the “Food Pyramid”. Suggesting margarine for dairy butter, Milk and Eggs were “bad for you”.
Cholesterol is a vital nutrient, especially for children, and healthy immune systems. They tried to link it with heart disease. “Low Fat” was seen as healthy - because they said so, even though it is cheap (formerly) empty Carbohydrates that are the culprit in Obesity and metabolic syndrome, and the full blown Diabetes epidemic. Carbohydrate has its place, but it will not sate hunger when the real deficit is high quality animal protein.
Me either. They are lying by cherry picking some products they’ve probably browbeaten the manufacturers/retailers to lower. The best that I’ve seen is that some manufacturers have held the prices firm, but decreased the amount of product, etc. The government is outright lying here.
Yeah. Did it go down 1% from the 30% it’s went up over the past two years?
