Iranian authorities have sentenced a Jewish man to die — and they plan to carry out the execution as soon as Monday, sources told The Post.
The case has sent a shockwave through the tiny Jewish community in the Islamic Republic, and Iranian Jewish expats and others in the Jewish community in New York and Israel are sounding the alarm that it is a clear miscarriage of justice.
Arvin Ghahremani, 20, was working out at the gym in the Iranian city of Kermanshah, about 500 miles outside of Tehran, in November 2022 when he was ambushed by seven men, one of whom was a 40-year-old man who owed him money, said Rabbi Danny Yiftach, who translated Iranian court documents for The Post.

You can judge people by the company they keep and it is quite clear the maniacal Iranian clerics need better friends.

No one should be executed for what this young man did. He has the misfortune of living in a country that likes to execute people.
IHR says it has tallied at least 223 executions this year, with at least 50 so far in May. A new surge began following the end of the Persian New Year and Ramadan holidays in April, with 115 people, including six women, hanged since then, it said.
Iran carries out more recorded executions of women than any other country. Activists say many such convicts are victims of forced or abusive marriages.
Iran last year carried out more hangings than in any year since 2015, according to nongovernmental organizations, which accuse the Islamic Republic of using capital punishment to instill fear in the wake of protests that erupted in autumn 2022.
"The silence of the international community is unacceptable," IHR director Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam told AFP.
"Those executed belong to the poor and marginalized groups of Iranian society and didn't have fair trials with due process," he said.
It seems to be like American parents who are horrified and disgusted at what Public Schools do to their children but keep their children in Public Schools.
It is an Israeli production so most of the dialog is in Hebrew and Farsi so you'll likely need to read the subtitles.
The interesting thing were the two societies of regular Iranians and the children of the wealthy and powerful who wear Western clothes, drive exotic sports cars, and consume drugs and alcohol.
