Wonder how their parents felt, seeing their child ripping that diploma up, this after the family has spend ‘Tons’ of money on tuition. They should have bought a second house instead, or maybe that hot rod Dad really wanted for himself.
They can just ask for another copy
It will be you paying the tuition. Very many of these parents can’t afford the 80K tuition so they depend on student loans which will now be excused with taxpayers paying it off. Also TAP Grants and work study programs, paid by taxpayers. If the parents don’t want them back home they’ll find some job but more importantly they’ll find a commune type loft in Bushwick B’kln .

Give ‘em credit. At least this “graduate” has come to realize the value of the Columbia diploma!
Biden will “forgive” (have plumbers and electricians pay for) the debt incurred in getting the diplomas. Since they have no skin the game, to the student the diploma has no real value. And in that, the students are correct. A degree in Critical Gender Studies is indeed worthless.
Meh. These are kids of the elites. Who cares what their parents think? They paid for them to go to this cesspool.
Over 40 years ago the local High Schools were smart enough that, as a backstop against any sort of disruption, all the diploma folders they handed out on stage at their Graduation ceremonies were EMPTY. AFTER the entire event was OVER, everyone was sent backstage to get their actual Diplomas.
We had about 40 members of the Class who still needed to complete Summer school to get the last few credits they needed, but handling graduation the way they did let them participate in the official proceedings along with everyone else, which was a nice gesture on the part of the District.
Too bad Columbia et. al. aren’t quite so brilliant.
