There is a sadness at the very core of these behaviors whose cause is not those outside that behavior.
Because the D is good for them?
None of that is true...
because...
just like with people in poor countries who are more direly affected by climate change...
lesbian and bisexual women are affected the same way...
so, again...
it’s climate change.
Alternately...
it’s Trump’ fault...
or the repeal of the right to abortions by republicans...
and it’s also due to racism and misogyny.
Men in this lifestyle choice suffer the same.
The reason has been known and explained for 3000 years. “The wages of sin are death.”
Drugs, alcohol, violence (from partners), disease, cancer, depression/mental illness, suicide - LGBTQ suffer from these in MUCH greater percentages than straight/normal people
This has been known forever, and will not change.
Daughter, later 20s and perfectly normal sexuality, is getting married soon. Her maid of honor is her best friend, who is a life-long lesbian. A little on the thicc side, but quite stunning, and she makes every effort in clothes, makeup, hair, and the rest to look and act completely feminine. She also has some of the common feminine psychological traits, such as always comparing her looks to others, or getting emotional about small things, or occasional doses of passive-agression. I’ve known my share of lesbian academics, and they are all as the rest of you have described, but not this woman.
Global Warming?
I attribute it to lack of Vitamin D. :^)
Yep, it’s heterosexuals’ fault that they are stressed.
Researchers expressed concern at the gap between bisexual women and their peers, noting that because bisexuality is "more concealable than lesbian orientation because many bisexual women have male partners, stressors related to disclosure or staying closeted may be more salient for bisexual women, who are less likely than lesbian women to disclose their identities to their social networks."
Tell me, how does a "bisexual" woman who chooses a male partner express her "bisexuality?" Must she express it? Is it a point of "stress" that she feels she can't?
These people are fruit loops.
A bit of information is missing from the article.
There were 116,149 in the overall study of which 25,316 did not provide their sexual orientation when asked in 1995 (see below). I suspect they did not report because they were still in the closet about such. It would be interesting to see the #s of responses and none responses in 5 year cohorts. Were the younger woman more likely to report their orientation.
I also think the found sample size to be be two small to use as a comparison.
Results Among 116,149 eligible participants, 90,833 (78%) had valid sexual orientation data. Of these 90,833 participants, 89,821 (98.9%) identified as heterosexual, 694 (0.8%) identified as lesbian, and 318 (0.4%) identified as bisexual. Of the 4227 deaths reported, the majority were among heterosexual participants (n = 4146; cumulative mortality of 4.6%), followed by lesbian participants (n = 49; cumulative mortality of 7.0%) and bisexual participants (n = 32; cumulative mortality of 10.1%).
Sexual orientation was missing for 25,316 participants (22.0% of eligible sample). Thirteen percent of participants (n = 15,092) were missing data on sexual orientation due to item nonresponse (n = 14,478) or because they selected “none of these” or “prefer not to answer” (n = 614). Other participants did not return a 1995 questionnaire (n = 10,224; 9%). The results are presented using complete case analyses (n = 90,833).

So I rate this study as a bit bogus.
Taken at face value, that would mean their deaths average in the 60s while on the whole women's life expectancy is in the 80s. Without significant evidence I find that hard to believe. More likely is that women in their eighties are less likely to publicly identify as lesbian, thus skewing the data for lesbian deaths younger even without any pathologies causing lesbians to die younger.
Did their “lady parts” wear out faster?
One reason they live shorter lives is that domestic violence is much, MUCH higher in lesbian live-in relationships than normal ones. You don’t want to get hit with a chain billfold.
This gap is due to existing “extensive health disparities,” including “worse physical, mental, and behavioral health” among queer women in comparison to straight women. The report also noted that the disparity is heavily influenced by the social stigma that LGBTQ+ people face.
they are victims.............
Subarus have faulty airbags.
Helped rebuild a hoarder house after a lesbian decided to immolate herself in the kitchen. Nothing quite like the smell of human fat and flesh.
Because they kill each other more often.
