The NYPD leader who has turned this incident into his own PR crusade is a loser. He's overselling the NYPD's role in making arrests like this by: (1) turning the incident into the worst incident to occur in NYC since 9/11, and (2) turning the kid's arrest into a PR stunt.

He knows damn well that the kid is going to get a slap on the wrist -- if the D.A. even bothers to prosecute the case.

Pretty sure you are correct, a NYPD Brass stunt, and they’ll go easy on the kid, however I was encouraged by the ethics of the Father, and wanted to bring that out.
