In October, Sonoma County family farm Mulas Dairy closed after 101 years. But the farm’s president, Mike Mulas, kept the news quiet until recently, when he spoke with the Press Democrat.

The Schellville dairy farm closed after racking up nearly $300,000 in debt from an environmental lawsuit, Mulas said. Attorney Andrew Packard filed the lawsuit against Mulas Dairy on behalf of the California Sportfishing Protection Alliance alleging water quality violations in early 2023. For the past three years, the environmental group has filed between four and six water quality lawsuits each year, reported the Press Democrat
Hope hungry Californians can go to these scum sucking lawyers in the future and have them feed them

“California Sportfishing Protection Alliance”
Sounds like an organization to find ways to discomfort.

Like the clam farm in Marin.
Sportfishing Protection Alliance. You’d think they were avid outdoorsmen.

“Sonoma County once had 300 dairies but now has only 50. In recent years, North Bay farms have seen a rise in litigation from environmental activists alleging they are polluting nearby watersheds. An upcoming Sonoma County ballot measure, the first of its kind in the country, could complicate things even further for these farms. The measure, likely to hit ballots in November, would ban “factory farms,” or ranches with 700 or more dairy cattle, and establish other restrictions.”
It won’t end with just dairy farms. Are they really going to vote for starvation?

The Schellville dairy farm closed after racking up nearly $300,000 in debt from an environmental lawsuit, $20,000 could have probably secured the services of a local biker gang to "explain" things to the lawfaring envirosleaze Commies.

And the Harris Ranch in Coalinga? Me and my ex used to stop by their restaurant and have a fancy schmancy meal. Live it up. Then we’d go spend the night at the Motel 6 across the highway.

I don't know that they're commies. Sports fishing and farming have always been at odds, especially with regard to water issues. The sports fishers want lots of water to flow into the sea so they have more fish to catch, but the farmers want it to soak into the land to grow crops.
I can see where pollution from cows and clam farms harm fisheries.
This is most likely not a case of commies vs good ole' American farmers. It's most likely about upper class fly fishermen hobbyists vs. large scale farming operations, i.e. lawsuits protecting the privileged few vs. those of us who want to buy milk or get steamed clams at a reasonable price.
This is like the river rafters who want to demolish dams so that a relatively small number of rafting hobbyists can have their way over the multitudes that benefit from the dams.

lawsuits protecting the privileged few vs. those of us who want to buy milk or get steamed clams at a reasonable price. Agreed.

This insidious tactic of bankrupting people, should not be
allowed. This illegal enterprise should have to pay all
losses to this farm, extending it’s ability to conduct
business.

Eventually the U.S. will become the Soviet Union.
If we're lucky, we'll end up like Brazil.

I actually think the entire West, and especially the countries most integrated with the USA will end up like 1990’s Russia.

The fishermen said they didn’t mean for the farm to close, just to make an example to the other farms. If there is bullshit in this, it is in the mouths of the “fishermen.”
