New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said she regrets saying that Black children who grow up in the Bronx don’t know what the word “computer” means.
“I misspoke and I regret it,” she said in a statement Monday.
“Of course, Black children in the Bronx know what computers are — the problem is that they too often lack access to the technology needed to get on track to high-paying jobs in emerging industries like AI,” she said. “That’s why I’ve been focused on increasing economic opportunity since Day One of my administration, and will continue that fight to ensure every New Yorker has a shot at a good-paying job.”

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, Bronx Democrat, came to the governor’s defense.
“While the Governor’s words were inartful and hurtful, I don’t believe that is where her heart is,” he said. “I firmly believe she wants to see all of our students excel.”

If the press were fair, this would be on every front page of every newspaper in the country. With a question, “why do democrats think blacks are stupid?”
If it were a republican who said this, it’d be everywhere and the entire Republican Party would somehow be connected.

Robert KKK Byrd was a high ranking Klansman. NO ONE in the dimrat minority community had a problems with that.

But ask a black kid what a basketball court is, and they’ll say “Mo’ money!”. (Sorry, couldn’t resist, I actually knew black kids that were good with computers.)
That's probably sort of true, as a part of the sickness of the state educational system. If they were all as well educated as the New York State Regents effected sixty or seventy years ago when I was in high school and college, she wouldn't have a chance of being much more than a dog-catcher. Those were the days of Thpmas Dewey and Averill Harriman and Nelson Rockefeller. Hochul wasn't even originally voted in, just on the coattails od the evil Cuomo dynasty, IMHO.
The enviable high standard of that state have just collapsed under the overwhelming mobocracy of the five NYC boroughs.

Better yet she should keep it up. There are a lot of people who don't know what she said.
If they lack access that would be your fault, governor. You caused the problem. Probably because you’re a racist.
Todays DemonRATs still think of Blacks the same way their first president Andrew Jackson thought about them. Native Americans too.
