NATO is starting to deploy combat troops to Ukraine. Soldiers from Poland, France, the UK, Finland and other NATO members are arriving in larger numbers.
Although Russia says there are over 3,100 mercenaries in Ukraine, these newly arriving troops are not mercenaries. They are in uniform, home country proclaimed via insignia. They mostly are concentrated in the western part of the country, although in some cases they are close to the actual fighting in the east.

You jump around from being ‘facetious’ to being snarky to being just a jerk. So why should I take anything you write seriously?
Are you suggesting that all the money spent fighting the communist Soviet expansion of the 50’s and 60’s through to the fall of the Berlin Wall and collapse of the USSR was wasted? If yes then I can see why you would say stopping Russian aggression today would be a waste. Again, I am not a Neville, like you.
“Nope. But unlike you, Im not a Nevil Chamberlain either. “
No. You are Foreign Minister Leopold von Berchtold, urging war against Serbia and Russia.
Find me any post of mine where I urge war against Serbia and Russia. You cant, but try.
” Think of all the kings, czars and emporors who blithely entered WWI. How many survived? “
Three Empires collapsed, and the surviving Empire was fatally damaged.
I hope neither of your choices. They are on the innocent massacred citizen side in Gaza. In that war between Ukraine and Russia, I’m thinking they’re on the American side.
In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled NATO starts deploying troops as Russia races to win, ClearCase_guy wrote: War-mongering NATO is the source of this whole problem. I don’t blame Russia. I don’t blame Putin. I blame NATO and it’s stupid policy of expansion.
Our CIA set this in motion years ago by overthrowing the Ukraine and installing their NATO puppets. The globalists need Putin/Russia under their control as they 'collect the whole set' of once free nations.
Come off it.
The whole point of invoking “Neville Chamberlain” is to justify military action against “aggression”.
But that is the mentality that created the July Crisis and WW1.
For Cold War Nostalgists and NeoCons, the “lessons of history” start in Dec 1941, and end in Sept 1945.
So the decisions on going to war are going to be made by historically ignorant Goobers who want to re-enact Winston Churchill.
(which maybe fits, since Churchill was a pro-war maniac in WW1 who couldn’t wait to get the UK involved.)
Churchill was right.
“Russia’s economy is 1 1/2 times the size of NY with 140million people...”
We keep reading this GDP stuff.
Then reality intrudes, and it turns out that the USA is expanding artillery shell production on timelines that take longer than the Manhattan project.
You think WW1 was worth it over Serbia ?
Who is closer to Ukraine? The US or Russia?
So who expanded nearer to Russia since 2014?
What if Russia set up shop on the Mexico border?
It seems to me that the U.S. is happy to fund anything that depletes Russia’s arsenal and troop level. At least we know some of this is working.
It is only a nightmare scenario for the Putin fan club.
Too bad that even Russians have repudiated it.
Putin wants to rebuild the Soviet Union and regain control over the states near it. It won't work, but he's determined.
Not sure thats relevant in a modern world economy. But if Ukraine is more western friendly than russian friendly, then a right of self determination seems fair, at least since the break up of the USSR.
So who expanded nearer to Russia since 2014?
No one. There seems to be some misunderstanding that NATO is some country. Its not. Its a pact between nations. The nations that have joined it have always been voluntary. They want to security involved in membership. No one is making them join, and in fact, wanting to be a member doesn't guarantee acceptance.
What if Russia set up shop on the Mexico border?
Well, the russians have been in Cuba for 70 years. So whats new?
Is that what they call the Korean War in Russia?
Particularly when, IIRC, UKR is NOT a NATO member or officially recognized and documented NATO aspirant. Cart before the horse here if you ask me.
“At this point, what difference does it make?”
I go back 12hrs to see what I missed-
every page has a pro Russian and/or pro Iranian/anti US thread from this account.
It would be pathetic but no one expects commie Teamsters to respect anyone else’s private property in the first place.
