NATO is starting to deploy combat troops to Ukraine. Soldiers from Poland, France, the UK, Finland and other NATO members are arriving in larger numbers.
Although Russia says there are over 3,100 mercenaries in Ukraine, these newly arriving troops are not mercenaries. They are in uniform, home country proclaimed via insignia. They mostly are concentrated in the western part of the country, although in some cases they are close to the actual fighting in the east.

The “obsession” with the July crisis is that a border conflict in the Balkans was escalated into a continent-wide war that killed millions, destroyed three Empires, allowed for the establishment of the world’s first Communist State, and set up for an even larger war twenty years later.
And many of the diplomats in the July Crisis used the arguments of “confronting aggression” etc.
When the sensible answer was that who rules in Belgrade was not worth the destruction of the continent of Europe.
Similarly, who rules in the Donbass, or who rules in Riga is not worth dragging North America into YET ANOTHER European war.

While we were fighting the commies overseas, we took our eye off the ball at home, and domestic communism blossomed, and has flourished here ever since. Look at my posting history, which goes back to 2005, and ask that question again. I am not supporting either Biden or Hillary. I am supporting the Ukrainian people against Russian aggression. There are plenty of conservatives who do the same. These personal attacks come straight out of Alinsky's playbook. Avoid the issues and attack the person. A popular tactic with the pro-Russian crowd. But what else can they do when the truth is not on their side?

In a way it makes sense that they idolize Churchill. Since Churchill was willing to sacrifice the future of Britain for one last war against Germany.

I explained. You still speak English, not German, not Russian, not Chinese. So you still have the freedom and opportunity to fight aggression remains a blessing. Its up to you to fight the enemy within as well as from outside.

England and the allies won. So your comment makes little sense, except that the allies did sacrifice to fight and defeat the evil of that day.
