Joe Biden's biggest problem is that his presidency is an utter failure
New York Post ^ | 05 May 2024 | Rich Lowry

President Biden has suffered a collapse in his standing generally, but, fundamentally, it’s because so few people think he’s doing a good job that he’s in such a perilous state

Other than that, it’s going great.

It’s hard to exaggerate how abysmal Biden’s polling has been lately.

No incumbent president should ever want to be near 43% in a head-to-head ballot test.

Yet here is Joe Biden at 43% in the latest CNN poll, 43% in the latest Morning Consult poll, 43% in the latest Economist/YouGov poll and 43% in the latest Harvard/Harris poll.

(NB: Biden ticked up to 48 when Harvard/Harris pushed respondents to choose between Trump and Biden, and the Economist/YouGov poll had RFK Jr. in the mix.)

Detect a trend? (There are other polls that have Biden a little higher.)

It’s no mystery why Biden’s polling is at crisis levels

An incumbent president’s level of support in a re-election bid is typically tethered closely to his job approval.

It’s hard to get much more than a couple of points above it.

Biden’s job approval is at 40% in the RealClearPolitics polling average and at 39.3% in the 538 polling average.

The CNN poll has Biden’s job approval right there at 40%, where it’s held steady for about a year, with 60% disapproving.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to steal an election, and replace a competent President with a bumbling, dementia-ridden buffoon, should be shot at dawn.

Vidkun Quisling (president of Norway) was also a swell guy until he was executed by military firing squad.

The stinking filthy corrupt Puppet Biden deserves no less. /spit

Who are the rest?

The completely low-info people who proudly "Vote Democrat because our family has always voted Democrat."

They have no idea what their party has become. And there are millions of them.

No. The problem is that the presidency was stolen, not earned.

Not really a failure at all to them. I think they are accomplishing just about exactly what they want to do and planned all along with more to come. More of that unbridled freedom thing.

"Vidkun Quisling (president of Norway) was also a swell guy until he was executed by military firing squad."

Same thing with Quisling Anton Mussert, a Dutch politician who founded the National Socialist Movement in the Netherlands. At the end of the war in 1945, he was captured by the Allies, charged and convicted of treason, and executed in 1946. British historian Mark Felton who has a YouTube Channel dedicated to WWII, has a video on Mussert:

“ Which is why we should have gone with DeSantis.”

That wasn’t going to happen.

No way. No how.

The fact that Biden put on hold last week sending ammo to Israel that’s an impeachable offense or at least that’s what vindman said back in 2020 so gonna wait for the hearings to start

The base wanted Trump. So we got Trump.

DeSantis will have done better in the general. But now with Trump, it's close enough for the Democrats to use fraud to steal their victory on Election Day.

“ DeSantis will have done better in the general.”

Possibly. But that’s not how the system works. Running against Trump was the most boneheaded political move in modern American political history. The fact that he chose to makes me seriously question his judgement. He should have laughed his “advisors” out of the room when they suggested he do it.

He could have had any job other than VP handed to him on a silver platter if he’d just backed Trump. Then in ‘28 the nomination would have been his for the asking. Today’s Republican base was never, ever going to nominate anyone but Trump this cycle.

He should have known this.

Instead he chose to waste months of his time and hundreds of millions of dollars that both could have been better spent working down ticket.

And it’s such a damned waste.

If Trump wins, Gavin Newsom will be a shoo-in to win the election, based on our political history the past 40 years.

Everything about Brandon is utter failure. Wait till there is mass unemployment. That is how WWI and WWII started.

Is he? I'm not so sure, because I have no clue what his true goal is, do you? Depending upon his true goal, he may have been as successful as all get out. I'm not even certain that Joe Biden is really running this nation. We have always regarded Joe Biden as somewhat of a dimwit who Delaware kept sending back to Washington. Is what we see when he makes public appearances real or contrive?

All I know is he is one crooked person, who even looks evil. For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone votes for him.

Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, Obama, Trump, Biden.

R,D,R,D,R,D.

Notice a pattern?

If Trump wins this time, it's an educated guess that Gavin Newsom will win in '28.
