Aspiring doctor brain dead after friends pushed him into lake knowing he can’t swim

An aspiring medical student was left brain dead last month when his friends pushed him into a Louisiana lake knowing he couldn’t swim — and then looked on while doing nothing to save the drowning man, according to a report.

Shocking video shows the group casually peering into the water moments after they shoved Christopher Gilbert off the dock at Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville on April 14.

At least one woman can be seen slowly entering the water before abandoning the rescue mission.

It was another 10 minutes before a patron at a nearby restaurant intervened and yanked Gilbert back to land — just in the nick of time.

Sounds like he wasn't the only one in that bunch that was brain dead...

… nor couldn’t swim.

It is well known that most have a hard time floating due to lack of body fat, being mostly muscle. You seldom see blacks competing in water sports.

Were his friends also African Americans like him?

You can bet if they were white, this would be the Top Story on the news and Biden would already be blaming it on Trump.

Our son learned to swim at the same time he was learning to walk. We went to the local YMCA every Saturday morning for lessons.

In Florida we teach the kids to swim as soon as they can walk.
Way to much open water here

"valuing it as a skill or sport."

This is it. Has nothing to do with economics, body fat or access. Urban pools, in many areas, are exclusively black, they having driven every other race out through sexual assaults on women and girls and general violence, criminality and mayhem. Swimming, like education, is a "White" thing and, hence, frowned upon and avoided. Also, it takes discipline, effort and focus. Othe "White" things to be avoided. My Father taught my brother, 5 years old and me, at 4, to swim. He took us out, in a canoe, to the middle of a lake, threw us in and paddled back to shore. We learned to swim and made it back. Getting out of the burlap sack was the hard part!😁😉

I guess it’s low body fat = harder to float.

A goodly fraction of welfare kangs and kaweens are morbidly obese.

They make Stacy Abrams look svelte!

(Until I lost 85 lbs I never worried about drowning, fat floats!)

It’s not true that the guy’s “friends” did nothing. They filmed him drowning.

Apparently, the young women who pushed him into the lake was white, which probably explains why she didn't know that he couldn't swim.

Had she been black, she would've known perfectly that he couldn't swim.

Exactly!
Actually, out in the country, all the boys got a pocket knife, when young.
Sort of a rite of passage.
Girls got them, too, but rarely carried them, unless doing farm work.

Terrible reporting. "Brain dead" people can't use a computer. Clown journalism.

Horrible story but I agree that every child should be taught to swim at an early age.

I can't even remember when I couldn't swim. I was always able to be in water over my head with no jeopardy whatsoever of drowning as I could easily stay afloat.

It’s very strange.

The same media that convinced 83% of zDems that Trump is Russia, called riots peaceful, write of men turning into women and collude and conspire to rig elections is full of Marxists dividing the nation pushing racist crud is very strange.

From capital letters to future astronauts and purposely omitting race, it’s even stranger that Pres Trump manages to treat everyone with respect and dignity until given reason to change course.

By strange and stranger, I mean 100% expected.

My wife taught swimming most of her life as a certified instructor. She taught the instructors how to teach swimming. As our friends and neighbors were having kids she would go to their homes and teach “drown proofing” to the kids starting around 6 months. If they didn’t have a pool or it was too cold she would use a bathtub.
