He teased his audience over who he would choose as his vice-presidential running mate and dished out praise to embattled House speaker Mike Johnson, ordering Republican critics to 'leave him alone'.

'I got indicted like Alphonse and like all these people,' he said.
I was fine until the Capone analogy.
I swear I’m probably one of 75 million people who wish Trump would let me (or any of us) follow him around and edit his material.
“No Mr President, Al Calpone was a REAL gangster and people know that. Make an analogy between your case and the Al Capone safe that had nothing in it.”
But alas it will never be.
‘I got indicted like Alphonse and like all these people,’ he said.
The comparison was that he was indicted “like all these people” was that the Feds were treating him as if he were a criminal like all those people.
The Alcapone thing is perfectly fine. He’s not suggesting Al Capone was wrongly accused. He’s saying, this guy was a known gangster, thug and killer and I’ve been indicted more than HIM. Think about how ridiculous that is. Not sure how you can take it any other way.
What Trump said about JS is what I think of you joesbucks. You are a worthless individual.
Perhaps he was referring to the New York Senator—Alphonse D’Amato. Sued for 100 Million over child custody in his divorce.
You don't know what you are talking about. Trump, in full context, maybe dozens of times, compares the injustice of himself, who has done nothing wrong, being indicted, similar to the notorious crook Al Capone being indicted.
You should follow yourself around and edit your own material.
I can’t wait to see smith’s motion to the court quoting DJT on this ‘violation’.
The Daily Mail hates Trump. Useful to keep that in mind when you read anything they put out. They will put whatever Trump says in the worst possible light.
“Trump, in full context, maybe dozens of times, compares the injustice of himself, who has done nothing wrong, being indicted, similar to the notorious crook Al Capone being indicted.”
“similar to”
You lost your case.
The attempts to prosecute have been similar, not the crimes. Context matters.
“The attempts to prosecute have been similar, not the crimes. Context matters.”
Perhaps you need to rewrite your sentence:
It reads “ ... injustice ... similar to .... “
Perhaps you have too many commas?
I should have some time on my hands soon and need some extra income. My first offering will be "FR Pottymouth" t-shirts. :^)
If you don't like the way some of us redact, be fruitful and multiply, just not in those words.
Rewrite MY sentence? Lol. I didn’t write that. I was just responding.
“similar to” You lost your case.
You take two of my words out of context, which is ironic given my point about "full context".
My point stands.
Try removing the last comma.
Your all n on the Speaker Johnson support?
Compsring himself to Capone? Last I checked, Capone was a criminal.
Last I knew, Capone was a criminal.
“Perhaps he was referring to the New York Senator—Alphonse D’Amato...”
Perhaps he was referring to modern gangster, ‘MAGA’ Mike.
Who Trump, the party’s current Establishment leader, demanded we “leave him alone”.
Trump would endorse Capone if he thought it necessary for him to win in November.
“But [Trump]threw a protective arm around [Mike]Johnson who was among the audience and faces a bid by Rep Marjorie Taylor-Greene to unseat him when Congress returns next week, breaking off from his speech to tell him 'you're doing a very good job'.”
Let the True Believers try to rationalize this one.
