Kevin Spacey has responded to fresh allegations of inappropriate behaviour in the past, ahead of a new documentary due to be released next week.
In an interview with former GB News presenter Dan Wootton, he commented on claims made in an upcoming Channel 4 documentary.
While accepting he may at times have behaved inappropriately in the past, he denied his behaviour was illegal.
Mr Spacey has been cleared of sexual assault in trials in the US and UK.
"I take full responsibility for my past behaviour and my actions. But I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologise to anyone who's made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me," Mr Spacey told Mr Wootton.
"I've never told someone that if they give me sexual favours, then I will help them out with their career, ever," he said.
"I've clearly hooked up with, you know, some men who thought they might get ahead in their careers by having a relationship with me. But there was no conversation with me, it was all part of their plan, one that was always destined to fail, because I wasn't in on the deal."
Spacey Unmasked, a Channel 4 documentary, is due to be released next week.

If only he knew Kaiser Soze ... the storys would have never come out.
“”If only he knew Kaiser Soze ... the storys would have never come out.””
Great movie....
Keyser Söze?
Honestly.....one of THE best actors in the world. He’s been in so many things and consistently been excellent. He didn’t reach stardom because of connections or his looks.
Agree. And he has a magnificent voice.
I am sooooo glad I never knew the ending. That was a complete shocker!
“Great actor. Flawed man.”
Good summary. I saw him on House of Cards, sadly all the claims are true regarding his attraction to younger males.
He’s been in two of my favorite movies, “Margin Call” and “Glengarry Glen Ross.”
I must admit I could watch that “You never open your mouth, until you know what the shot is.” scene over and over again.
I was just thinking about his voice work as “Hopper” in “A Bug’s Life”.....one of my favorite lines.
“It’s a bug-eat-bug world out there, Princess. One of those ‘Circle of Life’ kind of things.”
It’s too bad he turned out to be a creep , I’ve always liked him as an actor
I knew he had to be a creep in real life from “Seven”. You just can’t act like that.
“”I am sooooo glad I never knew the ending. That was a complete shocker!””
HA - I don’t even remember the ending. Something about a car driving up alongside a pedestrian? Well, like I said, a great movie - LOL!! Even if I don’t remember how it ended.
I have NEVER figured out the ending of The Thomas Crown Affair - the Steve McQueen one. I have never known what the telegram meant that Faye Dunaway received from “Thomas Crown” - “sell the car, keep the money?”
There have been others also - “Sneakers” and “The Sting” for example...
Yeah, we don’t mention the boogie man in case he decides to hunt us down and . . . well you know.
Society is faced with a dilemma when it attempts to normalize homosexuality, but then draw a line between ‘normal’ homosexuality and inappropriate sexuality.
It’s an impossible distinction, because homosexuality is in itself inappropriate.
I know, it’s a non-PC opinion - but there it is.
This will explain it all to me - LOL! Good reading too.
“But I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologise to anyone who’s made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me,”
Take note Republicans. DON’T APOLOGIZE. It just throws more blood in the water.
I have a sibling who knows a lot about Spacey and I posted here years ago that Spacey was a bad guy.
I thought American Beauty was great. I was in college and got a discounted ticket.
The summer of ‘99 was memorable with some good movies
