That’s right.
And not only that, Disney doubles down on it.
The Lord sat down with sinners, prostitutes and thieves.
They needed him the most!
Disney/Hulu needs him badly!
Last I heard, the first three seasons of The Chosen are now playing on Fox Nation. I would avoid woke Disney at all costs these days…
Sometimes, ‘strange bedfellows’ are better than no bedfellows at all. Meaning, at least the show would continue to be seen for a while. No business is all bad or all good. Fact!
The production quality of “Christian” shows has always been pretty poor compared to main stream ones. However “The Chosen” was a miraculous exception. The next miracle exception we can pray for is that Disney does not ruin it....
Several people I know who have a deep Christian faith love it. Jesus went where the sinners where he didn’t go amongst the true believers.
I don't care if a show is woke, or if they've got a magic negro as the lead. Just make it enjoyable!
They can't even do this!
I just slogged through "3 Body Problem" on Netflix. Diverse cast. I get it. Gotta have the black guy be the hero. I get it.
And I set all that aside. Just entertain me!
They couldn't even do that.
The Chosen was an immediate turn-off when they decided to characterize St. John the Baptist as some sort of prototype anarcho-Communist, as well as someone who was argumentative towards Jesus.
I wouldn’t touch this show with a ten foot pole. I don’t understand why Christians are so crazy about it.
The director and the actors are typical Hollyweird Christophobic leftists.
The main actor practices great soaking. That’s how he decided to take that role. A dead guy told him to.
I started watching a TV series called American Rust. It had Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney and seemed interesting. It had a gay character (not Daniels) but so what, I thought. At first it reminded me of the series Rectify. But apparently, once they start that point of view, they want to keep emphasizing it more and more. Heterosexual relationships were implied but not explicit. So I gave up. They ruined an otherwise good series to highlight that obsession, and it was not necessary at all IMO. Maybe they make more money that way.
A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough
I tried to watch the series 2x.
Didn’t like it 2x.
To all of you nattering nabob’s of negativity, fools; while living in glass houses, you are casting the first stone.
Yikes!
What kind of Jesus is going to be represented by a group of folks that don’t believe that Jesus is God? They don’t accept the doctrine of the holy Trinity or believe in a Trinitarian baptism?
I watched the first 3 seasons of the Chosen and it brought me closer to Christ. I will not judge the cast an crew for any of their off camera baggage, Jesus will handle that.
Jesus will be recast as a flamboyantly transgender black man who will then complain that nobody watches the show.
Another show to not watch. I’m barely tolerating the Anamaniacs reboot as is. The obvious swipe at Trump at the end of season 1 is only forgivable because of the comedy of Dot making the lions chase after a laser pointer.
