The Democrat mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, didn’t send police onto the campus of UCLA when pro-Hamas demonstrators took over parts of it and prevented Jews from entering, just as Nazis once blocked Jewish students from the University of Vienna. A Jewish girl being beaten unconscious and hospitalized also drew no police response to the state government-owned campus. But when non-student members of the Jewish community of Los Angeles entered the campus and began physically confronting the pro-Hamas demonstrators and videos of fights went out on internet, after two-plus hours [update: 3+ hours] of mayhem, the Mayor decided to send in the cops.
While I cannot condone outsiders coming onto a campus to fight, it needs to be stipulated that pro-Hamas outsiders were the first to enter UCLA turf, and that the non-student Jews who entered campus to fight were responding with the same tactic, to protect community members.
It is hard for me to avoid comparison to a little-remembered incident from the 1930s, when virulently antisemitic groups openly demonstrated and excoriated Jews along the same themes as the contemporary Nazis. The worst of it took place in Minneapolis, later characterized by prominent journalist Carey McWilliams as “the capitol (sic) the capitol of anti-Semitism in the United States."

perhaps it took Bass so long because she wasn’t even in town - she was back in DC with Hakeem and about 30 other mayors.
That sounds familiar to me. When the citizenry starts to fight back, that’s when the authorities send the police.
anarcho-tyranny
Oh, they’re not going after the baby decapitation fans, but if one of them thar JOOS looks at them sideways.....
Around 2am this morning on FR we had a watch party going on, everyone was watching the live feeds of the festivities, the LA TV stations had choppers in the air broadcasting live.
The counter protesters were tearing down the plywood wall the Hamas crowd had built, they would then pull back and regroup and come back for more, once a Hamas supporter got to far from their support group they usually got a good beating
It was great entertainment

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. However, in D areas:
A liberal swings a baseball bat: It’s a righteous protest.
A conservative swings a baseball bat: It’s a major felony.
Meanwhile in NYC:
The UK has really covered the removal of the trash in NYC!!
Good movie.
The Leftist rent-a-mob people work cheap PROVIDED that the op is risk-free. Add in an element of risk, and the price goes way up.
“Fenway Park on its feet for Teddy &*$#@!@ Ballgame! He went yardo on that one...all the way to &*$#@!@ Lansdowne Street!”
Its frightening, because we all read about how the Nazi Brown Shirts took over business, colleges, cities and towns in thre 1930s in Germany. Now we see the Democrats doing the same thing, and targeting the Jews. Our World War 2 veterans are spinning in their graves because they fought and died to defeat Fascism, only to have it come to the United States under the Democrat guise of “Left Wing progressives”.
Meanwhile in NYC:
The UK has really covered the removal of the trash in NYC!!
The parents of kids going to UCLA and other universities affected by this violence, should pull their kids and sue to reimbursed for their wasted tuition.
The left isn’t even trying to hide their hatred and agenda any more.
What absolute arrogance!
I will not even bother to comment on communist karen.
What I would like to see is a reporter with a microphone asking every Jew that they could talk to on that campus, particularly the ones that came to fight back, what their voter registration was? Republican or Democrat. And then Part B of that question would be what will it be tomorrow?
