Pretty weird.
Obvious Antifa BLM types.
Some holding Israeli flag.
Not a lot but they’re trying to cause a riot.
The Hamas folks are beginning to leave. The Pro-Israelis are doing the job the cops should be doing. I bet the camp will be dissolved within the hours, but who knows. Lots of ex- cops on Fox News that are pissed that no cops aren’t there.
You might be correct...
I am watching the chaos on TV right now...KCAL News is showing it live...
Things are really getting out of control...It is scary...
There are so many more Pro-Israel people - they could all go in and take the camp out very easily.
As the counter protesters try to take away the barricades some are getting smacked with 2x4s. One woman who tried to remove a barricade got her fingers smashed with a stick. The Hamas supporters have plywood and are holding that up where their barricades have been removed by the counter protestors.
Maybe the police are going to let this play out. In any case this is about 1000 people on both sides more or less. The police will need to equip and mobilize and that will take time. Seems like the political leadership had no idea how things might escalate, or de-escalate. Complacency so the counter protestors had the element of surprise.
That is crazy, I’ve been watching the ABC 7 live link on YouTube and their shots are from a helicopter.
Absolutely no cops anywhere, according to ABC 7 the campus Police have too told to stand down.
I know a lot of people hate Fox around here, but they’ve really stepped up tonight with coverage of these riots . I was watching Newsmax but at 8 PM ET they ditched out of the coverage and back to regular programming, from what I saw.
Fox thoroughly covered Columbia, to City College of New York, and now at UCLA. Great coverage from what I can tell.
So far, it’s only cuts and bruises happening sooner or later, someone is going to get seriously injured or killed.
I am not a fan of Mayor Bass...However, she cannot just tell LAPD to send officers to UCLA campus without speaking to the UCLA chancellor first.
Newsom...A good point...He could actually tell the UCLA chancellor to handle the matter in a certain matter...
Thanks
In her defense, she got bear sprayed.
It was pretty wild before I posted.
That’s why I posted.
Yes. The counter protestors are slowly dismantling the barricades and stripped the Hamas people’s plywood one by one. Soon the Hamas people will have no barriers. They will be left wide open. Either the counter protesters can go in, or the police will have an open field to rush into.
Too early to tell but it’s possible the counter protesters have the tactical advantage. If these are Israeli expats they likely have military experience and, speculating here, maybe even some intel and tactical advice. Break up the Hamas encampment or at least their barricades. After which many from both sides may head home when the police do get it together and show up. The police will make some arrests and disburse all the protesters… which would be, speculating again, the goal of the counter protesters. To see the Hamas encampment disbanded “by any means”.
But UCLA isn’t a private university - Westwood is LA. I wouldn’t think they need any permission.
One of the Hamas supporters just got too far out front and was dragged into the Pro-Israeli crowd and beaten pretty severely.
“ KCAL News is showing it live...”
Thanks.
I first saw it on 13. Then they went to sitcom.
Then 5 and then they went to sitcom.
So I was watching a sitcom.
Turned to 9 to get updated.
Reportedly UCLA has declared the Hamas encampment an unlawful/unsafe assembly. They just reported that UCLA has asked LAPD to intervene. Will take them time they need riot gear. Most of the LAPD are up at magic mountain area in bed. They need to go to the station get the gear on mobilize. This will take hours before they show up.
Zero law inforcement tells me intentional
UCLA police officers did show up earlier with an ambulance...When that ambulance left, UCLA cops left...
The TV station showed a bunch of private security guards just watching...They were unarmed...
This is on campus I think LA Justice is right they need to go through the chain of command.
I suppose it was only a matter of time until the Jewish people and their allies got fed up hearing chants in favor of their extermination. The politicians and officials failed and let the Hamas people go too far. So they deploy operation “Never again”.
Who were those rent a cops just standing there??
This is craziness!
It looks to me like this is being staged for all the cameras. Forget the crisis actor protesters, block access to all cameras and reporters and see how fast this crowd of miscreants disperses.
These people are playing for the cameras hitting each other with sticks and cardboard. If someone fired a real weapon they’d all scatter into the wind. Every single one.
