National salad month
I didn’t know that ! funny there is a day/week/month for anything imaginable
When I try to list my favorite salads … I like so many…it’s difficult
To list my top three or one? Not possible
Here’s my list of top dozen
favorites . And when I make them they’re different every time
Caprese
Cole slaw
Caesar
Egg salad
Potato
Pasta
Greek
Fruit
Wild green and butter lettuce
Spinach
Pizza salad
Taco salad
(Oh and then there’s chicken, tuna, ham and seafood salad)
I could list my top 25!
I have salad usually 3-4 time a week and it’s usually my only meal of day.. not a tiny side salad
One important note: the ingredients are of course important and we all should use artistic privilege to add or subtract what we like OR don’t like.
But maybe more important are the dressings and spices/ herbs we incorporate
Don’t ever go bargain basement on either
I once made all my salad dressings. Now i do now and then but frankly there are a slew of quality commercial dressings available that use high quality ingredients. A favorite of mine is Brianna. In Ohio at Heinen’s store I would look for BOGO and stock up.

Cottonball sent me home with a lot of leftover food from her dinner party. Finished most the past two days.
So this am started prepping for tomorrow’s main course salad. So far have done Romane, sweet onions, red pepper, celery, (have slaw bag); will add feta, pecans, avocado, tomato n dressing that tickles my fancy at last minute.
About a week ago my son asked me why we have so many salad dressings in frig and pantry shelfs
I asked him why he had so many fishing lures

And then we gave the greens…some use only iceberg. That’s truly okay but there’s a lot more out there! Learn how to properly wash and prep your greens and other add ons. A warm wilty green is not very exciting.

Well I’ve caught up on all the news I’ve gone to truth X RSBN telegram in Rumble. Now I thought I’d catch up on everyone’s news here and anyone’s interpretation on what’s been going on. I’m on my front deck and listening to the birds numerous birds. Listening to the roosters there’s several around and they seem to crow all day not just in the morning. Then there’s a sound I really like the various frogs and toads
Soon will be privileged to hear the cicada that’s the sound I really enjoy.
About the only sounds locally I really do not enjoy are the 15 dogs that live next-door that are turned loose and are 5 feet away from me on the deck and all barking their heads off I want to find someway to and that in someway humane and nice I don’t believe in abusing pets. The dogs are not bad dogs they’re just not well trained and their nuisance.
They’ve been doing that out here for about a half an hour I think I’m gonna go in. I hope everyone has a great evening

Wouldn’t a garden hose do the trick with the dogs? I was just out watering the gardens and the dogs came bouncing over to say hello. Just for fun I turned the hose on them and they took off like bats out of hell. Give it a try lol.
When my son was over on Sunday, we were sitting on the deck and so many birds were serenading us. My son took his phone out - he has an “app” that you can turn on and it will tell you exactly what birds it hears! I thought that was pretty neat - there was a whole list of birds it picked up and when one particular bird makes it’s noise, the name of the bird goes bold on the phone. Very helpful!
Oh yes! Planters all planted and beautiful. Gardens all trimmed and done and growing. Place is look pretty spiffy, I must say!
