Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is doubling down on her commitment to oust Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), saying his days in the leadership position are “numbered” as House members await a potential privileged vote on a motion to vacate.
Greene last month filed a motion to remove Johnson, saying he crossed a line by holding a vote for additional Ukraine aid. Two other GOP lawmakers have already backed it — enough votes to remove the Speaker if all Democrats vote with her — though Democrats have generally opposed her effort.
“Permanent funding for Ukraine is exactly what they want and Mike Johnson will give it to them,” Greene said Sunday in a post on the social platform X, referring to Ukrainian leadership and the Biden administration. “Peace is not an option for them because it doesn’t fit the government appropriations war business and economic model, which is vile and disgusting.”

Moscow Marge keeps sticking her large nose in it, so she gets first dibs on trashing. The others are in thrall to her anyway. Losers all.
I suppose with Jeffries as speaker, there will be more aid for Ukraine.
The only question is whether it is more or less than what was just passed. Will it be a ten-year plan?

Move along, Marjorie - you’ve caused enough trouble for now.
MTG comes right out of central casting. She’s the Paula Deen of politics.
They were numbered when he took the oath.
Jeffries, by all indications, IS THE CURRENT SPEAKER.
She can’t see the forest for the trees. She’s too one dimensional.
Sure that domino needs to be pushed. But all the other falling dominoes could cost us the election.
MTG has been the loudest, Number 1 critic of Johnson. Everyone else is just following her lead.
If The Johnson goes - blame her. Or give credit to her. Your choice.
Which will be almost exactly the same as what we have now.
Democrats effectively are running the House. They will be less polite about that once Jeffries is the speaker. And they will kick all Republicans to the curb when it comes to passing out the loot. They don't need them anymore and don't want them hanging around.
No wonder so many Republicans are retiring from Congress. They are the smart ones, getting out while the getting is still good.
In return for Jefferies' support so Mike will survive until January.
If Johnson goes before the election (that's Roy's and Massie's position) and Jeffries some how becomes leader before the election, I will blame Massie and Chip Roy.
If Johnson goes after the election, I will give MTG credit.
“Mike Johnson's speakership is over. He needs to do the right thing to resign and allow us to move forward in a controlled process. If he doesn't do so, he will be vacated,” Greene said on Fox News' “Sunday Morning Futures.”Apr 21, 2024
Roy and Massie are just tag-alongs. Following her lead.
Yes. She wants Johnson to self vacate now. Johnson has responded by saying that he won’t do that. So I believe her position is to not force him to vacate until after the election.
The Pooty tools are so laughable: “Ukraine is near collapse”, but Johnson is part of the “10 year” Ukraine support plan.
I’d wait. after election is fine as long as Judas Johnson don’t try any thing else egregious.
but if he does, then vacating sooner is fine too..
budgets are done for the year so we can do without a speaker til the new congress.
Controlled process?
I’ll give that about one chance in a million.
She is in no position and she has no authority to oust Johnson. All she can do is bark the loudest about it.
And where in the World Wide Web is a link of her calling for Johnson to leave after the election? There is none. She's never said that. Her position is constant. LEAVE NOW.
Blame - she has already gone too far, no matter the outcome. Rooting for her is the same as rooting for Moscow.
Johnson should have told Sniffer where to go (jOkeass too).
