Maryam Alwan figured the worst was over after New York City police in riot gear arrested her and other protesters on the Columbia University campus, loaded them onto buses and held them in custody for hours.
But the next evening, the college junior received an email from the university. Alwan and other students were being suspended after their arrests at the “ Gaza Solidarity Encampment,” a tactic colleges across the country have deployed to calm growing campus protests against the Israel-Hamas war.
The students’ plight has become a central part of protests, with students and a growing number of faculty demanding their amnesty. At issue is whether universities and law enforcement will clear the charges and withhold other consequences, or whether the suspensions and legal records will follow students into their adult lives.

Nope, nope and more nope..
On top of that and as posted on another thread:
These dumb-arses need to have their mug shots plastered all over the Internet.
IF any of em should show up across a job interview desk....just say good-bye.
Translation from Liberalese = “I don’t want consequences or accountability for my actions.”
The charges will be dropped. Bet me.
Or Iran!
Biden might announce an amnesty in the fall and win their votes in a landslide.

No.
Ayers and Dorn should still be in prison. I don’t know if I could pass him on the street and not express myself.
One of the Vanderbilt kids received merit scholarship cash for protesting DeSantis while the child was still in High School.
How about those arrested go on a list, those with scholarships have them revoked. Those arrested are suspended at least one year. Those on exchange or foreign students get expelled. None will have their tuition loans paid by government.
A firehose would solve this problem fast!
These idiots should be followed with the designation of “associate of known terrorist” for the rest of their lives.
Déjà vu all over again.
Reminds me of the old Li’l Abner comic strip from 1966 in which the Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything (S.W.I.N.E.) take over the campus.
The terrified University Regents decide to sell the University! The only buyers were the Mafia who brings in the mob enforcers.
Here come the SWINE protesting!
I still get a thrill remembering how the leader of the S.W.I.N.E. used his front teeth to assault the brass knuckles of the mob enforcers. Who says brass won’t make a spark! These did. Big ones at that!
Anyone else remember that old comic strip? Could easily be reprinted today with no changes.
They will all become high officials in blue states within a few years. Many of them will become Federal judges.
Consequences?
Those are for the dirt people. There are no dirt people at Harvard, or at Columbia. The people there are your future rulers.
Putting the “Y” back into Barnyard.
You're a funny guy.
For the mafia that is the ruling class, these people are making their bones at these protests.
I can't help but notice that the 54th anniversary of Kent State is this week.
The movement can use a few show ponies with cracked heads, and even a few martyrs, just like back in the day.
No.

every single one of their names and pictures should be made public so all employers know who to avoid like the plague!
“or whether the suspensions and legal records will follow students into their adult lives.”
They are adults.
