Comedian and actor Russell Brand recently announced that he is going to be baptized as a Christian.
The famous actor, comedian, and podcast host made the announcement in a brief video he shared to social media on the morning of April 26,
In it, he also remarked on how it seems that other people are also turning to Christianity as the modern world loses meaning.
"This Sunday, I’m taking the plunge. I’m getting baptized," he declared while filming himself standing outside.
Noting his fascination with the Christian sacrament, he continued, "What’s been explained to me is, it’s an opportunity to die and be reborn. An opportunity to leave the past behind and be reborn in Christ’s name."
Brand has been exploring Christianity for some time now. Months after he became the subject of a formal investigation into his alleged sexual misconduct, Brand told his audience he had begun reading the Bible as well as the works of Christian philosopher C.S. Lewis.
In January, Brand posted a video of himself to X explaining why he had been wearing a cross, stating, "The reason I wear a cross is because Christianity and in particular, the figure of Christ are it seems to me inevitably becoming more important as I become more familiar with suffering, purpose, self, and not self."
In the same video, he said that he never embraced faith when he was younger because it seemed either too "old-fashioned and sort of dusty," or too modernized.

Most excellent. Both for him and for the leftists whose heads explode at the news.
He’s an interesting guy.
Many media people seem to say only what they are told to say. Such people are “programmed” and aggravating and they are consistently on the Narrative that their audience expects.
Brand, I think, says whatever he wants to say. Sometimes he’s making excellent points. Sometimes he’s a bit of a loon. But I think he’s a real guy with real thoughts. The world needs more of that, and less of the “narrative”.
It’s a good reminder that even though the post-Christian West is increasingly in chaos and decline, the turmoil, tumult, lies and stupidity serve to break some people out of their complacency, and start thinking about what is really important, what does it all mean, what is my best role in all this ?
He was most definitely a sinner.

as are ALL of us but through the power of Jesus Christ, we can choose to be set free from it by believing in HIM. Russell is no different than anyone else; no worse, no better.

Doesn’t actually sound like he’s accepted Christ. He likes the idea of Christ.
I felt the same but I am not the one to say.
He is moving in what appears to be the correct direction so he deserves a benefit of the doubt. He’s earned it. Let’s see if in 5 years or if it stuck and is genuine, if it was a ruse/scam all along, or if its some weird thing in the middle like he has been hooked by one of these prosperity gospel crooks.

If in some years a good solid tree does grow and the fruit is good it would be a big shame to only have condemnation at a time like this.
Just remember people, Kanye West claimed to be a Christian. Now he wants to get into the porn business. Lets see the kind of fruit Brand produces.

I can’t get enough of Russell! I am one of his subscribing “Wakened Wonders”. As for how fast he speaks it is just at the right speed for my mind. I get lost in him sometimes. You need to give him a try.
Anyway my 3 favorite entities are Freerepublic, Russell on Rumble, and Tucker on TCN!! That is all the entertainment/information I need at the current time.
