'They will take it back!' China 'readying land grab' on Russia as Xi turns on Putin
Daily Express ^ | 04.28.2024 | CHARLIE BRADLEY

China is waiting for the Russian Federation to collapse so it can seize a slice of land taken from it by Russia 200 years ago, it has been claimed.

Beijing has been a crucial supporter of Vladimir Putin since he invaded Ukraine and was essentially cut off from the Western world due to sanctions.

But Canadian journalist and author Diane Francis believes that China is also preparing to take back a slice of land in the far east of Russia.

Speaking to Times Radio, she explained how the war in Ukraine may have just Beijing-Moscow relations.

She said: "China was put in a terrible position. They had an Olympics they were proud of in 2022, and Putin went there and got Xi to sign a partnership agreement without telling him that three days later he was going to genocidally invade his neighboring country.

"He never told Xi. This was hugely embarrassing."

Ms Francis believes the Russian Federation will collapse after the war in Ukraine, allowing China to reclaim land previously under its jurisdiction.

She added: "China is very much involved in what happens to Russia after this is over. Many of us speculate that once the centre doesn't hold and they lose the war, whoever replaces Putin is not going to be able to hold on to 11 timezones of nation.

"It is just too big a country. At the far-east edge is Manchuria, which was stolen from China over 100 years ago. They want Manchuria back, and they are going to get it.

"The minute there is weakness, they will move. Not necessarily with troops but they will move politically to seize control of it."

This week, Putin announced plans to visit China in May. His announcement came while US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken was in the country to meet President Xi.

According to a recent U.S. assessment, China has surged sales to Russia of machine tools, microelectronics, and other technology that Moscow in turn is using to produce missiles, tanks, aircraft and other weaponry for use in the conflict.

China has repeatedly said it isn’t providing Russia with arms or military assistance, although it has maintained robust economic connections with Moscow.

Russia invaded Manchuria in 1900 after the after the First Sino-Japanese War of 1894–1895.

Well, I don’t think that’s disputed anywhere seriously. Pretty much we and Russia are about equal, them 5500, us 5000. And between we two, that is about 88% of the world’s arsenal.

People do argue abut qualitative differences, but that’s about the state of things.

--- "the 1939 Battle Of Khalkhin Gol"

Battles -- plural -- between USSR and Imperial Japan which lasted four months until September of 1939. Your Ukraine-sourced editorial cartoon pictured Hitler (not Hirohito) with Stalin, while the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact fell apart a little less than two years after the Khalkhin Gol battles ended. The Anti-Comintern Pact of November 1936 was between Japan and Germany, quite more "allied" than the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact which was about 'nonaggression.' Dirty games played out all across that era, as the USSR ended up allied to the US for some few years.

Nonetheless, it was a very modern Ukranian-sourced graphic used to illustrate your point that "History doesn't repeat, but it sure does rhyme!"

--- "There goes that 'G' word again...."

I find it interesting that a population which increases by millions is proof of genocide against that population, while actual genocidal statements of political and ideological belief are dismissed as the modern equivalent of "boys will be boys." The world's press is stymied by this....

Russia’s Mayak plant, the one that makes and reprocesses nuclear cores, has been closed since 2017. Russian nukes have a short life of about ten years.

Add to this that their budget for maintaining a nuclear stockpile is woefully short of supporting 5,000+ devices and it’s not hard to conclude they’re far weaker than they let on.

I’d estimate they have 200-250 devices with a 90% expectancy of function and another 1,000 or so of various capabilities. The rest are useless.

This is still serious, but in no way are they the #1 nuclear power anymore. That ended three decades ago.

WWII began with Japan’s invasion of Manchuria, it just took ten years for it to spread globally.

china will gain ground at first. after that...china will be decimated by Russia.

Why? How?

It's roughly 1.4 billion people (China) vs 0.14 billion people (Russia). China has industrial capabilities these days (thanks to Western idiocy) that are waaaay beyond what Russia has.

Russia has very embarrassingly failed to dispatch with Ukraine in a timely manner - a country of less than ~1/30 the population of China. China has a large surplus of military aged males with few chances of female partnership.

If they both turn to nukes there will be no winner.

So, how?

The press always demonize the nation they do not like.

I guess it's to sway the population(s) against the nation committing the "genocide". Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians, and Russia is committing suicide against Ukraine, according to the presstitutes.

Tabulating deaths, then, means the sovereign state of Abortion Rights, looking at the Guttmacher data, is a far more effective "genocidist" in the multiple millions than any of the "press" would report.

Which recent government has managed millions of deaths with the approval of "law?"

At least it is decreasing, which surprises me.

Given Blikens words about China supporting Russia’s war effort, and the curious timing, I’d say this is more propaganda attempting to push a wedge between China and Russia. This ham handed story will likely push China away from the west as they take note.
