Too much free time, too few chores, and no expectations. The parents never demand anything from the little turds. the schools never demand anything from them. It is a wonder that they are not covered in moss and algae like sloths.

Gee what shall I do today? Work on equipment? Work on the house? Work in the greenhouse? Work in the garden? Clean out the woods and get firewood? Nah I think I’ll go into town and hang around and bitch about stuff.
