Making the sign of a cross is not a trivial symbol. Neither is it simply Catholic. It is one that has great meaning to me, an Anglican. I was extremely sad watching that video and seeing him.
ABC will not show anything that puts Biden in a bad light. Sometimes they slip up with a live broadcast, but cover it well with slanted commentary promoting Biden for the next few hours.
The limited outrage over this mockery reflects the apathy and indifference most Americans have toward religious faith in 2024.
Bergoglio mocks Catholics even more.
Is there a just God? If a lightning bolt would fall from the sky I would have more faith.
The problem with that is it violates the separation of church and state.
When Kennedy was running in the 50s, various groups claimed that the Pope would hold excommunication over his head to force Kennedy to do the Pope’s bidding.
It’s more like The Church Of What’s Happening Now.
