Anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian, and pro-Hamas protesters who camped out in Harvard Yard on Wednesday received a rude awakening overnight as automatic sprinklers switched on, soaking tents and sending the activists into a panic.
The Harvard Crimson reported that sprinklers began to turn on after 2:00 a.m. in 36º Fahrenheit weather. It later noted at 4:05 a.m. ET:
As protesters spend their first night in the Harvard Yard encampment, the biggest threat to their stay has not come from administrators or Harvard University police officers, but the Yard’s sprinklers.
Two more sprinklers turned on at the edge of the encampment near Massachusetts Hall. The sprinklers began to hit tents on the edge of the camp before protesters rushed over to covered the sprinklers with buckets and sit on them.
Harvard closed the gates of Harvard Yard to all but Harvard ID holders on Sunday, hoping to avoid the encampments that hit other universities. But there were enough Harvard students among the anti-Israel radicals to set up tents.

Let’s see if those in charge will do it. Or for that matter, do anything effective to shut this pro- terrorist/ Fakestinian krap down now. It’s disgusting, morally bankrupt and interfering with good honest students who are (or their parents are) paying a lot of money 💰 to attend college. !

Agree with you 100%. Where are the parents that ARE paying for their kids who aren’t protesting? Id be wanting a rebate since they aren’t getting what they paid for considering the hatred and anti-American rhetoric.
If I were a parent paying $70,000 a year for my kiddo’s “education” I sure would demand a refund if the school is letting him/her just sit out there disrupting traffic and intimidating, threatening people. He belongs in the classroom or laboratory or library studying. If the school isn’t requiring attendance and participation in its classes, the school is not delivering the educational product I paid for.
And I’ll be damned if I want my children exposed to this kind of scum pro-terrorist agitators. If the Fakestinians ever come up with anything worthwhile for my boy or girl to hear, my kiddos can read it on their *&&% social media... INBETWEEN THEIR CLASSES!
When some nutballs were demonstrating in the front yard of one of my clients and he called me for advice, I told him to turn the sprinklers on and that cleaned them out right fast. It was February. That was about 40 years ago.
