A similar story happened around here a few years ago. They left one pistol cartridge in their bag at some Caribbean hell hole. It seems like Louie Gohmert had to pull some strings to get them released.
You think Turks and Caicos saves a dollar or two ?
only in a T&C homeless encampment
Top 5 Fave clips.
How about we all boycott Turks and Caicos? Teach them to not touch an American. From the report, this was missed by our attentive TSA and not intentional.

Wonder how many weapons & bullits TSA “missed” on the incoming Brandon Airlines illegal migrant flight??
According to the story, it sounds like he’s out on bail? Can someone not organized at 3 AM boat out to a Whiting yacht? Or a king air landing at the airport and whisking him away?
Whew! At least they didn’t have ammunition in New York! They really would have been screwed.

We would probably arrest him here and send him back to face his charges.
What’s a Whiting yacht ?
..
While I don’t think he needs 12 years in prison, I’m not letting this guy off easy.
“You gotta be tough to be dumb!”
This is personal responsibility, he failed in a big way.
Very little sympathy from me, sorry.
+1 what you just said, unfortunately for Mr. Watson.
Turks and Caicos is not a cheap vacation spot. Maybe you go to Mexico or Dominican Republic to save money or some European destinations.
Exactly. It’s like going to St Barts. Very upscale.
Or maybe tourists should obey the laws of the country they are visiting.
Meanwhile…while back on our southern border, we are importing ME terrorists bringing in tons of C4 and other makings for IEDs. America is committing suicide right before our eyes. Talk about Nero and Rome!
Don't we need a place to dump all our toxic waste?
.
Yes, several years ago on a flight to Alaska one of my sons used what had been a range bag and turns out there were several 9mm rounds buried in a pocket. TSA found them all smiles, no big deal, they kept them, and we went on our way. This was in Reno. Bet a different result in New York City.
If you’re going to play stickball in Canarsie you better learn Brooklyn rules.
Maybe so. But in a foreign country, you have to follow their rules. Americans often feel entitled and thumb their noses at foreign rules.
Yes, but these countries should show deference to Americans. Especially those that depend 99% of their economy on us. Clearly there was no suspicion he was importing, trafficking, or had bad intentions with the ammo.
