George Will, a conservative columnist for The Washington Post, went after House Republicans who recently voted against more aid to Ukraine in a Wednesday opinion piece in the Post.
In the opinion, highlighted by Mediaite, Will said the 112 Republicans House Republicans who voted against Ukraine aid “voted last Saturday to endanger civilization,” calling them “ignoble.”
“Hoping to enhance their political security in their mostly safe seats, and for the infantile satisfaction of populist naughtiness (insulting a mostly fictitious ‘establishment’), they voted to assure [Russian President Vladimir Putin’s] attempt to erase a European nation,” Will wrote in his column.
Opponents of more aid to Ukraine included far-right hard-liners such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who went after House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) for his support of the bill, calling him a “traitor” after the lower chamber passed it.

Anyone that supported it compromised and bought and paid for the defense industry or some other entity profiting from the war.
There is ZERO national interest in Ukraine.
JD Vance is absolutely right on this issue.

Just kiddin, FReegards!
Oxymoron = conservative columnist for The Washington Post
Also a garden variety moron = “conservative” columnist for The Washington Post.

“A mostly fictitious ‘establishment’”?
You’d be hard pressed to think of too many people more warmly ensconced in the “Washington establishment” than George Will. -- Politico
I hate it when they refer to this pompous twit as a ‘conservative.’
An an atheist to boot
Trump should announce Vance for VP and let Vance do the heavy campaigning while Trump is in court. Court can appear at rallies on videotape.
Ok boomer.
Then why are those who are already on the side of destroying civilization so in favor of it.
Nobody can campaign like Trump. Vance may be a solid MAGA conservative, but he’s not a particularly inspiring speaker, unless you already agree with him. Preaching to the choir isn’t really what’s needed. Someone to generate enthusiasm and win over swing voters is, and Trump is the only single individual who can do that. Now, maybe a team of MAGA influencers and celebrities holding rallies while Trump is sidelined could be helpful, but there’s no substitute for the big guy doing it.
I think Trump, at some point, needs to get back to holding rallies - even if this trial drags on for a while. He can do rallies on the weekends and Wednesdays and in the evenings on days when court is in session.
Me neither.
I actually miss The McLaughlin Group
I used to love when John McLaughlin used to say to Eleanor Clift:
WRONG
I also liked Pat Buchanan. In fact I voted for him in the NH Primary.
