I was a high school student in 1969 during the viet Nan war. My parents told me I could go to any college I got accepted into. Then the rioters protesting the war were all over Columbia Univ. it was on tv every day. My dad said any college but Columbia.
The Jewish people include a lot of “very smart folks.” That, alas, is not the same as “very wise folks,” even though many of the former pridefully think they are also in the latter. Had they paid more attention to their religious teachings, which offer many such examples, they’d fare better.
