We have an age of majority -18. That’s based on centuries of experience and biological information. If we want to change it we can undertake that. Make the case why 17 year olds can sign contracts, get married without parental permission, get drafted, operate heavy machinery, avoid permission slips for high risk activities, get charged as adults…

There were some FReepers who had no problem with Pete Rose dating a 15 year old. Turns out she really was just 14. He was married at the time with 2 kids.
If Gaetz was 18 and the girl was 17, I really don’t care. If he is in his thirties paying a17 yr old for sex at drug parties. He wouldn’t even be a dog catcher.
