A verdict is due imminently in the case of George Alan Kelly, a 75-year-old Arizona rancher accused of fatally shooting an unarmed migrant on his property near the U.S.-Mexican border in January 2023.
Illegal migration has surged over the past couple of years, particularly after the end of coronavirus era restrictions. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection figures there were 9.8 million encounters between law enforcement and irregular migrants between October 2019 and January 2024, a figure nearly equal to the population of Michigan. Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has claimed irregular immigration has created a "bloodbath" which is "destroying the country" as he seeks a second White House term.
Kelly has pleaded not guilty to second degree murder charges and the case went to the jury on Thursday. It did not immediately reach a decision meaning deliberations will resume on Friday morning after which a verdict could be announced.
Kelly owns a nearly 170-acre cattle ranch in Nogales, Arizona, just across the border from Mexico.

During the testimony of forensic scientist Rick Wyant, defense attorney Brenna Larkin asked, “So number one, you can’t prove who the shooter was, correct?” to which Wyant answered, “That’s correct.”
“You can’t prove which firearm caused this wound. Is that correct?” she asked.
“Caused the wound? Correct.”
“You can’t prove which type of ammunition caused this wound, correct?”
“That is true.”
“You can’t prove which bullet caused this wound, correct?”
“Also true.”
“Can’t prove which direction this shot came from, correct?”
“Correct.”
“And we can’t prove how far away this shot came from other than further than 6 feet away from this person, correct?”
“Yes, true.”
He used a firearm to kill an illegal. Facts don’t matter anymore.
The Regime does not want the invaders scared by locals who might shoot them. Somewhat like the trial against Kyle Rittenhouse, where the enemy did not want rioters scared of people who might shoot them.

yeah, the jury was deadlocked, hope they hold out for an acquittal. Seems like a total sham.

He forgot two important things...shovel and SHUT UP!
He did nothing wrong!

he didn’t shoot anybody
competing cartels were having a range war on his ranch
after the smoke cleared, he found the body
(deceased was wearing full body armor - so yeah, the illegal was coming over here to get a job)
I think he deserves a medal. My point was, all those facts presented on the stand mean nothing in our kangaroo court system.
