Former President Donald Trump is campaigning in blue New Jersey amid his criminal trial in New York, making a play for these blue areas, exactly as he said he would do.
The rally is taking place in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday, May 11. Trump advertised the rally on Truth Social writing, “Join me in Wildwood, New Jersey on Saturday, May 11th at 5:00PM Eastern!”:

That was the Van Drew rally if I remember correctly.
You think think Trump can win Jersey with anyone approaching a conservative as VP?
I just noticed this rally will be held on the beach. (The last one was held in the convention center.)
*really think
Don’t know if you noticed but Trump will be in court 8 hrs a day for 2 months. He has to work with what the Lord has set before him. Too bad he doesn’t have a party who controls the money behind him.
I think Trump will pick a MAGA candidate for several reasons. Haley of course isn’t MAGA.
I was wondering about that. May 11th on the beach, hopefully it will be warm.
Yep. These stupid trials are keeping him on a short leash, geographically.
But Trump is an excellent retail politician. His bodega appearance was a huge win. There are more Latinos in NYC than there are blacks. In addition, even in a state like NY that he lost by 20+ points, there are still 3-4 million Trump voters. Another 2 million in New Jersey.
Trump shows up to applauding crowds shouting "Four more years!" in a NYC bodega and that clip gets broadcast on every Spanish-speaking news channel in the country.
It was so effective that Biden tried to repeat it the very next day at a gas station in Philly and came out of it looking like a sad, dementia-riddled old man.
Yes, every day, in the morning, at lunch, and at dinner he should step out and talk. Invite supporters even.
Yup. I too believe it was a video op targeted for national consumption. There will be more of those. Notice today that Columbia cleaned up their Pali protesters. They were probably afraid of another Trump video op.
Is there a Biden clip?
OK so name some potential VP candidates that you think will be necessary to help Trump win Jersey, since I only said the only way was to pick a center-left one. Thanks.
Here you go.
It may be great for national consumption, as you say, if future appearances go as good as the first one did. I'm just responding to those that think NJ is actually in play. Thanks again.
And it's doubtful Trump is able to serve out his term if he has a RINO VP.
Thanks. I think his best chance to win would be with Haley, which is why it might happen, but I personally don’t want to see that for several reasons.
This rally will be Trump's 2nd rally in Wildwood. He has many supporters there in Cape May County, but I think this rally is targeting voters in the Philadelphia suburbs. Remember, Trump won PA by a narrow margin in 2016, and he "lost" by a narrow margin in 2020 under questionable circumstances. He's been making stops in PA. He's hoping to win PA again. His 2020 Wildwood rally was held in the convention center in January, and thousands of people stood in the cold waiting to get in. Many of those people came from Pennsylvania. Now, this 2024 rally will be held on the beach in May. Picture the optics with the ocean in the background. It could be a brilliant move, or it could all go wrong. We shall see... but his PA supporters should show up.
“amid his criminal trial in New York “
Breitbart has been infested with rats.
Nobody heard anything like him before, but once he started others came out to join.
President Trump went to the bodega in Harlem and was greeted by welcoming Hispanics.
Trump went to Chick-Fil-A and was greeted by welcoming African-Americans.
Now these groups can see others and feel its now okay for them to join in, too.
So Trump goes to New Jersey. Let's see if the people in New Jersey give the same welcoming reception. Maybe it will let others know that it's okay to come out of the closet and support President Trump, too.

And with all that, he will get 35% of the votes in NJ, worse than G. W. Bush.
