WASHINGTON, April 18 (Reuters) - Donald Trump said on Thursday the survival of Ukraine is important to the United States, a shift in tone days before the Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives is due to vote on a $61 billion aid package.

Ukraine shall survive and NATO should disband.
“Trump ain’t real anymore.”
No, Trump is very real, but not stupid, like you are.
Ukraine needs to survive Zelensky and the world criminals making use of their country. If losing a part of the land to predominantly speaking/loyal Russians, so be it. But ridding their land of the corruption and evil goings-on is what it needs to conquer and survive.
Thank you.
It’s patently absurd that we got 29 posts into this 3rd grade food fight before an adult posted what Trump WROTE.
Small wonder Dems can run fraudulent circles around many conservatives.
Thank you.
I thought he was against endless foreign wars.
👍👍👍
I trust Trump. Unlike Mike Johnson, he has track record of keeping his promises.
He has promised to cutoff funding for the war in Ukraine and end it with 24 hours.
What are you going to do, Zeeper freak, not vote for him?
Why?
Quite the opposite. Extremely disappointing. Explains his support of the Johnson betrayal. Will likely cost him the election.
I’m all for Ukraine surviving and rebuilding/rebounding.
Just don’t ask me to pay for it.
Ukraine ping
Bill Shipley, lawyer for many of the Jan 6 victims of Biden’s DOJ, on the politics of aid to Ukraine:
Ukraine aid is VERY POPULAR in swing districts — those districts that were won by Biden but currently have GOP Reps.
Ukraine aid is much less popular in safe GOP districts — places where Reps like Gaetz, MTG, etc., represent.
Opposing Ukraine aids will guarantee electoral success in safe GOP seats — wait, we have those already.
It will lead to electoral losses in battleground seats.
I prefer a GOP majority in the House as compared to a GOP minority.
The larger the majority the better because it allows them to pursue policies preferred by GOP voters. without having to compromise. They can even freeze out the 10-12 knuckleheads who are always looking for leverage to be an “Army of One.”
I fear a Democrat majority because they have shown themselves willing to pass laws that will cripple the country in ways that will likely be irreversible — which is their goal because they think those changes will be good and the more permanent they can make them the better.
THIS IS THE GAME OF POLITICS.
Learn the rules or prepare yourself to be screwed.]
Too late, I’m afraid. Supporting this Johnson deal will cost him the election, as Rand Paul says.
He did not dis-endorse the Johnson betrayal. He denounces bills explicitly and has in other cases, not this one.
He says that Eurotrash should fund Ukraine even more than he’s willing to, which is now over a hundred billions dollars as we are two hundred trillion in debt.
Fail. Good luck.
No, not at all.
Trump's MO all along is to reveal, to expose, to shine light upon.
The people of Ukraine are wonderful. The CIA coups, corruption, bribes, biolabs in Ukraine are totally evil, and must be opposed by MAGA/KAG patriots.
Not this one. I am not liking this from him at all. I am not afraid to say it either.
It dampens my attitude for him.
Trump has given up our positions for what he perceives as his personal benefit. Did the same with the Assange non-pardon.
He’s obviously correct, and he’d be insane to allow Ukraine to fall because of republicans, on the eve of the election.
