House Speaker Mike Johnson on Monday unveiled a proposal for sending wartime aid to Israel and Ukraine as he seeks to fend off a right-wing revolt that could put his leadership in peril.
The Louisiana Republican said he plans to put four separate bills on the floor, separating aid for Israel with assistance for Ukraine, which has faced fierce pushback among some members of his conference. A third measure includes aid for Taiwan and the final bill addresses other Republican foreign policy demands.
"We won't be voting on the Senate supplemental in its current form, but we will vote on each of these measures separately in four different pieces," Johnson told reporters after meeting with House Republicans.

The wall, eVerify, no release into US for illegal crossing, etc. Deport illegals, including DACA.
Separate bills is the right way to go.
Schumer has HR2 on his desk. He won’t bring it to the floor. B******
Is that a possibility? Is that a way for the RINOs to get everything they want while turning whatever happens in the House into Kabuki theater?
EXACTLY!! Its a risk- for ukraine who has been ransacking the US for more than 2 years.
Funding for the border is useless since the Executive branch won’t implement border security.
First provide for the border. It is said the money is already there, just lack of will to do it. So do it!!
Then cut an amount equal to the arms appropriation from welfare programs. No promises to do it later.. Cut first. then go for it.
The four bills together has already passed in the Senate.
TRAITOR!
HR2 has been on Schumer’s desk for almost a year. He won’t even bring it up for a vote. It’s a great bill and even includes completing the wall. It’s the right thing to do...but the Dems insist on this bundling crap AND excluding HR2 totally.
for better or worse, the aid to Ukraine is very unpopular
but we need our border defended as thousands of mostly-young men are flooding in from”Other Nations Origins” (including all the Islamic terrorist states or those infested with Islamic terrorist murder gangs) .. what about that, Speaker man?
The devil is in the details. The “Ukraine” aid bill contains substantial funding for building up American infrastructure. If the production funding is delayed more than a month, those companies will have no choice but to start laying off employees. Once laid off, they tend to get other jobs, move away, or open vape shops. This funding delay is a compounding disaster. It would be nice if we had some leadership to explain the importance. Maybe they have and the media isn’t covering it. Hardly anything is as simple as the headlines suggest. Many posters are acting like a mob with no understanding about what’s at stake or even what’s really going on. Leadership! Please, somebody.
I hate that PUIS POS ….where the FK IS OUR MONEY FOR OUR EFFIN BORDER!!!
“separating Israel and Ukraine aid”
Which is how it should be handled.
Countdown to his capitulation. Come on, man
Israel is to Ukraine what apples are to road apples.
thanks for the explanation. Split that bill in two as well....
Almost makes you think Zelensky is colluding with Netanyahu.........naaaaah.
No content with US billions already in his pocket, Zelensky now says
he wants US tax dollars to Ukraine “according to the Israeli model”......here’s what he means:
Congressional Research Service
US Foreign aid to Israel
60 page detailed report
https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/RL/RL33222/44
The concerned Israeli lobby made sure Congress is required by law to ensure that U.S. military aid in the Middle East region doesn’t damage Israel’s military superiority over its neighbors. That requirement enjoys broad bipartisan support and has served as a benchmark for ensuring Israel receives robust U.S. support.
Biden keeps gaslighting Americans about the “need” for
American foreign aid tax dollars to Ukraine and Israel.
Here’s why they DONT need it:
About $113.1 billion in tax dollars were authorized in 2022 for Ukraine, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. Most of it–about $67.1 billion–was defense-related. The other $46 billion included:
<><>$26.9 billion for economic support;
<><>$7.9 billion for international disaster assistance;
<><>$6.6 billion in assistance for refugees;
<><>$1.5 billion for assistance for Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia;
<><>plus $3.1 billion for other non-defense spending.
US tax dollars helped Ukraine
<><>pay the salaries of 618,000 educators, 517,000 health workers, and 56,500 first responders
<><>helped sustain critical healthcare services,
<><>helped meet pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people,
<><>assisted 1.3 million internally displaced persons,
<><>provided housing assistance to 4.1 million people,
<><>provided social assistance to 240,000 low-income families
<><>helped subsidize 480,000 persons with disabilities,
<><>bought supplies for farmers,
<><>financed finding markets for small business.
