Since half voted for the biggs amendment, this was not some wild-eyed anti-security bill. It was a rational approach to constitutional warrants. Johnson went completely against his own word.
He looks, talks and acts so slimy. Don’t trust him at all.
Headlines from CFP-—
“””Mike Johnson introduces the SAVE Act, new bill requiring that only U.S. citizens can vote in federal elections.
Motor Voter doesn’t require proof of citizenship.
Just a few hundreds thousand Illegal voters can flip this election.”””
While I am glad to see some talk about illegals voting in 2024, our government leaders have known since Motor Voter was passed in 1993 that this was a problem.
Our government leaders have had 31 years to fix the problem of non-citizens voting and have done nothing.
All those important people who came in to give eye witnesses report of what the FISA government did to them at the congressional hearing was a waste of time. They’re not listening to their base anymore. Our Congress representatives are useless. Majority Leader Johnson is the worst of the bunch. He backstabbed us when he could’ve killed the FISA yesterday but instead the FBI and the DOJ had a little meeting with him and warned him if you don’t vote to keep it alive they would dish out Johnson’s dirty laundry. That’s how it works with these bastards at the DC swamp. Spineless SOB!!!
Feel good nothing legislation. It will never pass. Nice try Mike, but we’re no longer buying your bulls#!t.
Here is one thing that all FReepers can do.
Simply ask your County Supervisor of Elections this question.
How many Registered Voters have a REAL ID?
If I were a Supervisor of Elections I would want to know how many registered voters had a REAL ID and how many registered voters had a SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.
“... spying on President Trump’s 2024 campaign”
That’s something I don’t worry about. I don’t have a good understanding of the overall FISA issue.
This being an election year, Louisiana needs to make a change for Johnson in what, the 4th district of LA? VOTE the bum out.
How about a law requiring states to periodically verify the accuracy of their voter rolls and purge people who have moved or died or people with no residential address?
Blah, blah, blah.
Still has to pass Senate and be signed by the potato in the WH. Waste of time.
