The chase -
Lange repeatedly pleaded with Simpson to “throw the gun out [of] the window” for the sake of his mother and children. Simpson apologized for not turning himself in earlier that day and responded that he was “the only one who deserved to get hurt” and was “just gonna go with Nicole”
... Not that it really mattered, the OJ trial happened right after Rodney King got beat up by the LAPD, so there was no damn way this jury was going to convict a black man, no matter how good the evidence was
Here’s a small detail. Unfortunately DNA evidence wasn’t as well understood back then.
“Simpson’s DNA profile was found in the Bronco along with that of both victims. The glove contained the DNA profiles of Nicole and Ron, and the sock had Nicole’s DNA profile. At trial, the defense team valiantly fought back. Miscues in evidence collection were craftily exploited.”
I remember this when watching the trial.
