A former assistant principal at a Virginia elementary school has been charged with felony child neglect more than a year after a six-year-old boy brought a gun to class and shot his teacher.

The lawsuit said those warnings began with Zwerner telling Parker that the boy 'was in a violent mood,' had threatened to beat up a kindergartener and stared down a security officer in the lunchroom.
It alleges that Parker 'had no response, refusing even to look up' when Zwerner expressed her concerns.
When concerns were raised that the child may have transferred the gun from his backpack to his pocket, Parker said his 'pockets were too small to hold a handgun and did nothing,' the lawsuit states.

Why wasn’t a gun in the backpack enough cause for action?
The local YMCA had a huge program for small children. Many of those children were black. I was talking to a Y employee, and she said they only hired the largest black young men they could find because that was the only way to control the black children. The kids ignored white boys/men and walked all over white girls/women to the point where it was physically dangerous for them. But they were afraid of black men/boys who they KNEW would not hesitate to smack the living hell out of them and that was what was required to keep them in line.
My white buddy was a fifth-grade schoolteacher. They gave him all the problem black boys because he was the only male teacher, and they thought the boys would do whatever he said. (Or they just didn’t want to deal with problem kids and used that as an excuse to dump them.) But they told him he couldn’t touch them; he couldn’t threaten them. He quit. He said, they made my job impossible. If you can’t maintain discipline, you’re wasting your time, and the rest of the kids are wasting theirs.
This... and I certainly would not have waited for a ruling from an assistant principal (or anyone else) before dealing with that immediately. Gotta believe a lot of us would be in that same camp.
A lot of Conservatives will be glad that a DEI type school administrator is to face charges for school violence.
The accused warned by a teacher when a student saw the six-year-old with the gun on the playground.
But the accused former principal chose to do nothing when warned by the teacher.
As the guy who used to be the janitor in various schools this certainly has my mind racing around.

Hasn’t the precedent been set in MI to be able to sue or jail the parents? That’s who I would be going after.

The kid’s mom has been convicted twice for this shooting. Once by the Feds for using drugs while in possession of a firearm with a jail sentence 21 months. And a conviction by the state for felony child neglect. Sentenced to 2 years in jail (actually 5 years with 3 years suspended)

You brought a gun to school? Did you bring enough guns for all of the children?
My sister (before she retired) told the same story about her magnet school in Baltimore. The big black male staff could keep good order. My sister (white) was well liked by her kids and knew how to maintain an orderly classroom, so she seldom needed his help.
In 1960 in upstate NY, my teacher was a no-nonsense male. I think he was probably a WW II vet. In that era, those guys maintained good discipline in schools.
Hopefully, that’s next.

The zookeeper failed to do their job
The segregated Black (Colored in those days) schools might have been separate but UN-equal, but they had teachers and administrators that could raise productive citizens.
Black kids are desperate for discipline. Discipline means love. As in if there is a man in their life, he either abuses them or ignores them. A loving father disciplines (socializes) his children. They grow up with usually a strong mother, but no father. So, they get into another environment, and they push the envelope hoping that some loving person will push back, show them boundaries and love by expending the effort required to socialize them. Under the current liberal left they turn into feral animals.
There are no more combat vets teaching. I was physically afraid of my HS advanced phys ed teacher. Not because he abused kids, hit anyone or whatever but because everyone knew he had been a door gunner in Vietnam and his command voice was the definition of not wanting to FAFO.
Women are 90% or more in education and wha kinds of kids they’re producing is readily evident.
Just like the fear we had of our fathers back then. Telling.
Unfortunately that problem has spread to a large chunk of white society as well.
