Zelenskyy straight-up said Ukraine is going to lose if Congress doesn't send more aid

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday that his country "will lose the war" against Russia if Congress does not act to send it more aid, Agence France-Presse reported.

Zelenskyy's statement on Sunday was his starkest warning to date about the fate of Ukraine.

In late March, he told The Washington Post that Ukraine's army would have to contemplate a retreat "step by step, in small steps," if the US aid did not come through.

They’re going to lose no matter what. The sooner they lose the fewer lives will be lost. The sooner we stop sending more of our money, the less of our money will be wasted and stolen.

Apt comparison.

Gaza will NEVER defeat Israel. Ukraine will NEVER defeat Russia.

How many lives and how much money will be WASTED before these realities drive actions?

They are going to lose either way. Why postpone it.

I know why. They have to milk this baby for more U.S. billion$....And we have plenty to give...It's not like were in 34 trillion zillion in debt...

What a sad joke America has become...

I believe the following post demonstrates the Ukraine lost and is now a cardboard cutout used to transfer money to NATO.

In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Trump wants to give Ukraine a 'loan' — but some of his GOP allies on Capitol Hill worry it would never be paid back, ransomnote wrote:
In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled How the electric war is redrawing the Ukraine……, ransomnote wrote:

Russia's supposed drop in production and sanctions, which not all nations will obey, is NOTHING compared with the complete collapse of the Ukrainian economy, the death and departure (refugee) of their able-bodied workforce, and the destruction of their electrical grid along with anything plugged into it.

In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Three Men Charged With Running Hawala Scheme Responsible For Illicitly Moving More Than $65 Million Between The United States And The Middle East, GOPJ wrote:
We are paying to sustain Ukraine’s critical healthcare services, meet its pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people, assist 1.3 million internally displaced persons, provide housing assistance to 4.1 million people, and provide social assistance to 240,000 low-income families and 480,000 persons with disabilities.

We subsidize Ukraine’s small businesses, buy seeds and fertilizer for Ukrainian farmers and fund divers who clear unexploded ammunition from the country’s rivers to make them safe again for swimming and fishing.

Americans pay to secure Ukraine’s borders while millions of welfare seeking barbarians and terrorists flood through ours.

We're being taken to the cleaners...

According to this FR thread, an increasing number of cities in the Ukraine are becoming unlivable with permanent damage to power generating systems and all the infrastructure, electronics and basics (heat, light and water).

There is no comparison. If the public understood that the United States provides the economy for the Ukraine, more would realize the Ukraine lost the war long ago and they are being propped up as puppets "Save the Ukraine!" when there's no chance of winning.Excerpted:

NATO/Zelensky/Biden are willing to let all of the Ukraine burn and conscript her people (aged 15 to 70, including the disabled) to die in trenches with insufficient weapons. The criminals here are those controlling NATO's elite superpowers and using the Ukrainian citizens as sacrificial chess pieces on a blood-soaked chessboard.

Mr. Zelensky,

RhienMetall - Air Defense Systems

EUROSAM GIE - "EUROSAM is the leading French-Italian Joint Venture in Europe that designs, produces, sells, exports and maintains, long range ground and naval based air defense systems."

European Ground-Based Air Defense Programs

European Capabilities

Europe’s defence industry has a number of champions in the field of anti-aircraft missiles. First and foremost is MBDA, a joint subsidiary of Airbus (37.5%), BAE Systems (37.5%) and Leonardo (25%), resulting from the merger of Matra BAe Dynamics, Aerospatiale Matra Missiles and Alenia Marconi Systems.

After winning a large contract from France and Italy for missiles of the Aster family signed at the end of the year (approximately EUR 2 Bn), MBDA signed for the supply of CAMM medium-range missiles to Poland. The European missile builder has already secured more orders amounting to EUR 4 Bn in four months.

Thales produces high-quality radars and Command and Control (C2) capabilities for air defence systems, in addition to well-known missiles such as StarStreak and LMM. Germany has the support of Diehl, which produces the IRIS-T missile and its land-based version, in both short- and medium-range variants.

Added to this, in April 2022, Diehl and Hensoldt decided to intensify their cooperation. Swedish manufacturer Saab produces the RBS70, which includes its NG version. The company also offers radar such as the Giraffe 1X multi-mission 3D. In partnership with Raytheon, Norway’s Kongsberg has been developing the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) whose model 3 is already fully operational.

Lower Layers of Air Defense

The return of the threat of so-called high-intensity conflicts has revived very short-range air defence (VSHORAD) programmes, a good example of which is the Skyranger 30, produced by Germany’s Rheinmetall Air Defence. Denmark announced on 16 May 2023 that they had selected this piece of equipment.

The turret is equipped with a radar, infrared sensors, and a laser rangefinder. The armament is an Oerlikon KCE 30 × 173 mm automatic cannon that fires Advanced Hit Efficiency and Destruction (AHEAD) air bursting munitions, each of which releases 160 tungsten projectiles. The 1,200 rpm gun is extremely precise, allowing it to engage small aerial targets such as drones.

The Thales rapid fire cannon is also a solution to counter armed drones and loitering ammunition. The system results from a Thales partnership with Nexter. Its 40 mm Case Telescoped Armament (CTA) cannon has the compactness of a 25 mm cannon and provides heavy firepower up to 4,000 m, with a reduced logistics footprint compared to a conventional cannon of the same calibre.

You underestimate the courage and tenacity of the Russian people. Read Harrison Salisbury’s book, The 900 Days, about the seige of Leningrad. Or read about the Battle of Kursk.

The Soviets inflicted 76% of all the German military deaths during WWII. Yes, we provided significant amounts of war materiel and logistical assistance, but the Soviets deserve the lion’s share of the credit for defeating the Nazis. Revisionist history doesn’t change the facts.

The entire point of funding Ukraine is so we don’t end up fighting the Russian empire directly. The Russia First contingent shouldn’t go to Ukraine either. When we end up fighting Russia directly, the Russians have far better uses for their American fifth columnists. In wartime, you would be more productive supplying intelligence to Russia, harboring Russian agents or engaging in sabotage operations.
