We’re only getting partial in DC, and we’ve only been partly sunny; but the light is changing now and getting a little weird...our peak eclipse is supposed to be at 3:20.

We enjoyed it from our backyard, crazy to see it dark like that in the middle of the day.

Pretty amazing. I watched the NASA channel for totality in
Carbondale, Ill. That's where the completion of the X occurred.

My grandmother used to tell us of the roosters crowing in the middle of the day, when the sun ‘came back’ after an eclipse.

Here in Eastern Kansas - the light dimmed noticeably, little crescents on the while sheet we spread out, our cat went back in the barn, spring peepers started singing and birds got quiet. Not nearly as dramatic as the total one we saw in 2017 in central Missouri.
