One day enough will be enough and those that wish for de-populating will be de-populated quickly....

And I’m sure the winters up there won’t be so cold and snowy their solar panels and wind mills will keep them from freezing to death ... “State officials, including Republican governor Greg Abbott,[13] initially blamed[14] the outages on frozen wind turbines and solar panels.” ... “This is national suicide.Thousands will die from heat; millions will die from cold.”

I think this is one of those times when stuff has to get much, much worse before it can get better. The vast majority of people race through life with no cares about politics. You have to stop them cold, smack them in the nose with a rolled-up law, and kick them in the butt. Then they wake up and pay attention.

I love New England, but it has been ruined by retiring New Yorkers and Bostonians.

What fuel will keep them warm during the Winter?

Maybe they will burn their furniture. 👎

“One day enough will be enough and those that wish for de-populating will be de-populated quickly....”

Call me skeptical. I figured that day of “enough” would have been when Congress rigged the vote to pass Obamacare, while exempting themselves from it, against the wishes of most Americans.

I later figured that, after eight years of Obamanation and deliberate destruction of the economy by the Marxist Democrats, the nation would be grateful for any leader, like Trump, that did not put America dead LAST in any ‘deal’, for a refreshing change.

Then, in 2020, I again falsely figured that the Marxists stealing an election would have finally been “”enough””. But nooooooo.....

I have since stopped “figuring” in this surreal, bizarro world we now exist in. There is, apparently, no limit to what Americans will now endure on their way to the Hellscape we’re headed for.... thanks to the demonic left now in control of the nation ... and of most of the rest of the world.

In rural New England we have more moose families than black families—and we burn wood.

;-)

It is the cities and suburbs who get to freeze due to this stupidity.

The only way this would make sense is if they put some small nuclear reactors in their place, such as the Westinghouse AP300’s.

But that would make too much sense.

“But that would make too much sense.”

Logic and rational thinking.planning doesn’t apply with leftist eco-wackos.

Next Winter’s going to be very ugly, after a nasty, hot Summer.

New England does get the occasional 100-degree plus heat wave...be a shame to see that again this year...a real shame.

We had three hundred years worth of coal to utilize while fusion reactors get figured out.

However, the announcement that another U.S. region is on a glide path to a coal-free future earned heavy criticism from some experts who noted the importance of having baseload, dispatchable power generation. While renewable sources like wind and solar are intermittent, or heavily dependent on weather conditions, coal, natural gas and nuclear can quickly be turned on in times of high demand.

This should read Base Load and Dispatchable Power. They are different things.

Base load plants are going to run at full power nearly all the time.

A nuclear power plant will take days to start up and reach full power as will a coal plant.

Any plant that uses steam turbines to generate electricity must be warmed up slowly or suffer damage.

Coal plants in the past (30+ years ago) could be used a dispatchable power. These small old plants would be set as "Spinning Reserve" during periods of high demand. This means that the plant would at operating temperature with its turbine spinning but unloaded.

These old plants where less efficient and did not have pollution controls.

During the Clinton years these old plants lost their EPA exemption for plants that were old and operated infrequently.

Dispatchable power today is primarily Natural Gas Turbines.

These plants can be kept warm and be be brought on-line remotely. Many are also completely unmanned.

The Environmental Extremest even want to do away with Gas Turbines.
