Fiscal conservatives are winning in — of all places — the state of Washington. Members of the Democratic-dominated state Legislature have passed three initiatives that are part of a six-part strategy developed by conservatives in that state.
Leaders of the conservative group Let’s Go Washington announced late last year that they had collected enough signatures to force six referendum questions on the November 2024 ballot. In the past, some might have argued that conservatives were on life support in the state of Washington.
The state has the nation’s longest streak of Democratic governors. The last Republican elected governor was John Spellman in 1985. The last time a Republican from Washington won a seat in the U.S. Senate was in 1988. And the GOP has lost seats in both chambers of the state Legislature since 2016, as well as members of the U.S. House delegation.

“Fiscal conservatives are winning in — of all places — the state of Washington.”
It doesn’t hurt that reality is on your side...
Well, I don’t know their definition about the right.
Will be ignored. WA will do what WA wants.
If conservatives can claw back power they can then do what Florida has done and quickly put a stake through the heart of the remaining liberals there.
I thought this meant ‘D.C.’ and nearly fainted.
Can’t get THAT lucky.
if the communists control Washington state like they do in Oregon—public opinion won’t matter. they’ll steal the election.
They could consider a few more, in fact. One on homeowner's rights being superior to those of squatters and also strengthening 2A within the state.
Wait till Antifa finds out.
The King County Democrat party governs the state; the voters are irrelevant. It’s all mail-in voting there.
Washington. Home of the first great steal of the new millennium. For governor in 2004 Dino Rossi won the canvass and the first recount. The rats “found” enough ballots for their candidate to win by 133 votes in the second recount
I wouldn’t get one’s hopes up just yet. Remember that WA is where the leftists hatched mail-in voting and have nurtured it for decades, tuning, refining, and selling the process until many now believe it to be a Constitutional right. When the process was mature enough, the left brought it to the other states.
As the article notes there has been few Republicans elected to significant public office in decades. We should consider mail-in balloting as one of the primary reasons.
Mail-in balloting must be erased from our country as a voting option. It should be available only to out of country USA citizens and the provably disabled.
The Washington state referendum process is a joke. The democrats know that it will get over turned in the courts, so they don’t give a rat’s ass.
Surrender Monkeys hardest hit!
Washington and Oregon will eventually become less “leftwing orientated” over the next decade.
It’ll take awhile, but we’ll get there.
Dino Rossi should have been the last Republican governor. But of course he was cheated twice, winning on election day, then the filthy dirty scumbag cheater democrats kept finding votes days AFTER the election, just enough to put the Rat candidate over the top.
Lather, rinse and repeat. /spit
“If conservatives can claw back power...”
Don’t hold your breath. Two counties, King and Pierce counties, King ultra/ultra liberal, and Pierce 53.7% liberal, are the determiners. The population is the problem here. Between the two counties, they control the vote determination for the entire state. How ever they vote, the state has to accept. So do the liberals care about the topics getting on the ballot? Not only no, but...

The article contains at least one error. Oregon’s non-Republican governor streak is longer. Vic Atiya (Sp?) was elected in ‘78, and re-elected in ‘82.
Yep just like New York. Downstate leftists dominate upstate.
