He’s right.

My neighborhood in Tacoma, WA now constantly reeks of skunky pot after legalization passed.

You can be driving down the freeway at 70 MPH and smell the skunky car a quarter mile in front of you.

SKUNK WEED SUCKS!

“It's unfortunate but the ballot initiative is almost certain to pass.”

I'm afraid so, but it is not a certainty.

Adoption requires a 60 percent supermajority.

And hopefully a lot of the older refuges flooding into Florida from northern third-world states will think twice before voting to give drug-stupor franchises to fast food workers and nurses.

The counter argument is that alcohol kills a lot of people so why not expand the list to include other deadly drugs so more people will die an early death, or killed outright.

“Aren’t there non smoking laws? Smoking is smoking whether it is pot or tobacco.”

It’s weird phenomenon, but, no, in places where weed is legal and popular, a large cohort of the weed smokers often behave as if smoking prohibitions are inapplicable to them. Example: It’s been decades since I’ve seen or smelled anyone lightig up a tobacco cigar, cigarette or pipe in the stands of a professional baseball game. However, you could walk around Oracle Park tonight when the S.F. Giants are playing and pretty much *constantly* smell the stench of burning cannabis.

DeSantis is right. That’s where Florida will be, as California is there already.

You can even detect the odor from the International Space Station.

Well, if Florida goes blue, it’ll smell like sh**. Our media has become laughably childish.

The peoples Republic of Minnesota legalized pot last year, but has yet to implement the regulations. While licensed pot shops are yet to be opened, at least one local Indian tribe is selling pot with impunity on their reservation and underground local sellers are likely doing a brisk business. The Legislature with a liberal Democrat majority also failed to update DUI laws so pot impaired drivers are plying our highways. There is also a great deal of hypocrisy as our state spends millions to stop tobacco smoking and vaping, but the health hazards of smoking pot are similar in addition to the mental health and addiction issues. THC products are on the shelves in liquor stores and THC gummies ( candy) are ubiquitous. Gov.DeSantos is right to oppose legalizing pot in Florida

Could someone not find a way to make it smell neutral or at least less like a rabid skunk?

Perhaps you’d enjoy the cheese strains.

There are some cities that would greatly benefit from smelling like marijuana...

There's no great benefit to a city smelling like weed.

Everywhere...except pot smokers don't care. We can get a contact high just going for our morning walks.

Non-smokers’ noses (like yours, mine, and most in my family) are very sensitive to the smell of tobacco.

I sometimes buy resale items, and if it was in a smoker’s home, I can tell it. I have to wash it thoroughly to get the smell out of the item, and sometimes, that’s not possible.

I also have the uncanny knack of sitting downwind from smokers at the beach. Outside, and yet I can tell within seconds that someone lit up a cigarette. The stench permeates the air.

VOTE NO! FLORIDIANS! VOTE NO ON AMENDMENT 3!

There is absolutely NO PROOF that smoking weed is either good for the “tokers” health OR good for the states that permit it!

VOTE NO! FLORIDIANS! VOTE NO ON AMENDMENT 3!

Democrats want drugs use and abortion on the ballot.

They would put ‘free to rape children’ and ‘squat in other people’s homes’ if they could get away with it. Anything that appeals to the people who ‘lack self control’... brings out their voters.

He got rid of the two incompetent and/or corrupt Democrat election supervisors in his first term. Everybody else seems to know how to do their job.

I disagree. It beats the hell out of the rotting garbage smell New Orleans has in the morning. And FTR, I am not “for” legalizing pot.

I love the smell of marijuana in the morning.

Actually I don’t, but it always smelled better to me than regular cigarettes or cigars. Some types of pipe tobacco smells very nice, maybe pot producers could do the same with weed.

He’s probably got a point. NYC already does, without FL’s nice weather.
