Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday that Russia’s military plans to draft some 300,000 new troops over the next two months.
“I can say that Russia is preparing to mobilize an additional 300,000 military personnel by June 1,” Zelensky said during a joint press conference with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, according to the news outlet RBC Ukraine.
He did not provide further details about the alleged recruitment campaign or state the source of the information.
Later Wednesday, the Kremlin denied Zelensky's claim.
“This isn't true,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Moscow drafted some 300,000 reservists during a “partial” mobilization drive in September 2022, which saw thousands of men flee Russia to avoid being sent to fight in Ukraine.

Only 2% of Ukie Population is 25-27.
We know that Ukies just dropped Military age from 27-25.
Not enough Ukies in that age group.
If Ukie’s dropped Military age down to 14, they might have enough.

I’ll have to get more information first. It’s Russia. Putin may have told some young guys. “Tag. You’re it. Now you’re mobilized for Ukraine.”
That same Zeeper says there are plenty of Ukrainians and killing off a few hundred thousand of them is no big deal. Lots more where they came from.
If the West were asked to supply the Ukes with not only arms and money but soldiers in great numbers as well, what could they realistically do to put great numbers of boots on the ground for the Ukranians? Not advocating either way, just asking for opinions as to what is possible to do?
Get terminology correct. The article does not.
A mobilization is activation of Reserves. It is not a draft (conscription).
The Russians do a 2X per year conscription of people in the relevant age range and this has been their norm for decades. They are trained for 1 year and then they sequence to the Reserves and back to civilian life. There they stay until old age or until . . .
Mobilized. A mobilization event is activation of reservists. By definition.
Because Russia does the 2X per year conscription of 100K+ guys . . . for decades . . . their Reserves totals are 15-20 million. These guys have already been trained, but will get a refresher course of a few weeks if mobilized.
So when 300K Reservists were mobilized in September, it was partial — obviously, and no need for quotes — since it was not 15-20 million.

Sounds like Russia has buried at least an equivalent number since the Three Day SMO started up two years ago.
You may be right, assuming that Putin actually wants to be responsible for a broken and bankrupt Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis that will accompany a Russian takeover if Russia chooses to occupy Ukraine post war.
My definition of honorable settlement is Russia has some territorial rights to Eastern Ukraine and the rights of ethnic Russians are respected and guaranteed, Ukraine remains neutral and not part of NATO
An agreement along those lines may still be possible.
One thing for certain, Ukraine is not going to be any position to make demands on much of anything and Ukraine asking for war reparations. repatriation of Crimea and war crimes tribunals for Russian leadership is laughable at this point
The Russian losses are certainly over 100K and may total several hundred thousand. Ukrainian losses are far greater - half a million KIA since the start of the conflict is not out of the question
