I think TSMC is far enough away to not be affected.

It really isn’t smart to put so much production of a critical good in one place.

There was some flood in Thailand years ago that wiped out a lot of the world’s optical disc production, which is what was used back then for hard drives.

Hualien is on the middle East coast. Most of TSMCs locations are in the North around Taipei and on the west coast. Looking at other Taiwan semiconductor locations don’t seem to indicate anything significant from that industry in the Hualien area. Doesn’t mean there won’t need to be some recalibrations - that equipment can be sensitive.
