Forget Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It is Sonia Sotomayor who is the greatest liberal to sit on the supreme court in my adult lifetime. The first Latina to hold the position of justice, she has blazed a relentlessly progressive trail on the highest bench in the land.

I have long distinguished between “Liberals” and “Leftists”.
Basically, in today’s world, Liberals are a subset of Leftists, and may be viewed as Leftists who haven’t the inclination, Mal-education, time, or energy to make the leap to full Leftist.
It is true that there are many Liberals who can be talked to in a rational fashion, but there are no Leftists who can be engaged that way.

Yes they did! And knew damn well what they were doing, too.
Language and Symbol appropriation is a key element of their damned toolbox.

The sick thing is that the congresslosers vote these unqualified DEI’s into the court in the first place.

I know. Republicans need to have a potential justice who was a student of Socrates, and even then it is touch and go.
Their potential justices cannot tell the difference between a man and a woman, and they simply skate right in.

Debbie Dingell in picture for those who are not close to her Congressional district as I am.
Counting John Dingell’s father whose seat he took and widow Debbie that takes in almost a century.

Conyers. When I was studying political science at Wayne State University the young John Conyers spoke to my class and shook our hands. He had an easel and showed the honest and fair redistricting map of Michigan. Then he swept it over and said “We aren’t going to use that one. We’re going to do it this way to benefit all the Democratic districts.” Gerrymandered to the hilt. We all laughed but they accomplished that later.
In 1965 he started his national career in Congress.
