Just like the growing list of politically correct global warming horror predictions that have proven false, the argument that EVs will save money over time has no basis in the actual numbers that we are seeing, is pure indoctrinated escapism imo.
This isn’t about banning gasoline cars.
They KNOW people can’t afford EVs so, out of the goodness of their hearts, the blue leaders will build out public transportation and force everyone to contract into 15 minute cities.
You will live where they tell you and you will be allowed to travel where they tell you and on their schedule.
In Maryland, any car over 20 years old can qualify for Historic Vehicle plates. Smog tests and pre-sale “safety”inspections are not required.

Consumer choice should drive the market. Fine, provide ‘incentives’ but outright ‘banning’ shouldn’t be authorized. The technology isn’t ready and there’s no proof it’ll ‘save the planet’ either. The ‘carbon footprint’ is huge day 1.
There are two charging stations in my little city. Always empty and I make sure I park there every time I go to the store. Screw them.
