Who wants to pay to suffer in a leftist indoctrination gulag?

This will have dire future impact on the country. Hopefully the trend reverses soon. And, yes, it requires colleges to dump their DEI BS and reset values.

I see they pointed out the 60% and what will likely be an even more imbalanced mix of women to men as college graduates putting women at an increasingly more challenging situation to finding a “suitable” husband.

I also could not help but notice this statement in the article: “ By 2030, there could be as many as 2.1 million unfilled manufacturing jobs, an industry that has historically relied on male labor.” We have been told repeatedly that manufacturing jobs are disappearing and being offshored. The inconsistency of thought here is glaring. If people have reason to believe these jobs are not going to be around why prepare for them? I remember being told this as a teenager in the early to mid 1980’s and even though I was from a blue collar family and would have preferred that work, I, based on the gloom and doom I was being fed then, went to college and attempted to prepare for a white collar business field.

Just more things that continue to convince me more than ever before: We are finished as a society unless something miraculous happens and I mean this quite literally.

Could be a lot of them are going to vo-tech schools to learn trades rather than waste their money on being indoctrinated at universities.

Ooooor it could be they’re just lazy and expect the world to be handed to them on a silver platter.

You mean we’ll have fewer PhDs driving cabs and more plumbers, carpenters, mechanics and such?

Re: "The gradual retreat from higher education signals a larger crisis facing boys and men."

Does anyone else think that sentence is completely backwards?

The larger crisis is facing higher education - in my humble opinion.

The first female president of my Alma Mater announced several weeks ago that my university will offer a Masters Degree in DEI.

I am thinking that alumni donations from my graduation class just dropped about 90%.

Same percentage avoiding mistake of marriage.
In real life deck is stacked against them so why play that game.
Better to live in moms basement in gaming realities where the have a “fair” chance.

Companies are increasingly hiring kids right out of high school and training them on the job...w/college at night when needed.

I reject every point in the article. Just last weekend I got together with old friends for a jeep trip. There were 5 young men who joined us. All married and highly productive and having kids. One was a welder who could fabricated anything. One mechanic, a police officer, a kid who went into property management, and a guy who is about 8 years along in a mortgage company as a salesman. Another started at a fire alarm and suppression systems company and has worked his way up to running a crew.
None wasted their time or money going to a place that hates them for indoctrination. All are healthy, happy and the kind of man you hope your daughter finds. None were soft and pasty.

Guess it’s a real bitch when the radfems build their sicko world and the dudes walk away.

Look at the reasons, males aren’t going into healthcare? What man in his right mind wants to go there anymore? It’s hard left, feminine, hyper socialized and authoritarian.
The country might miss out in tax revenues? Maybe they don’t see their duty as being a government ox.
Women are having a hard time finding mates that meet their expectations? Hilarious, cry me a river you unworthy city girl. Go get punched in the head and keep hooking up and prattling in about abortion. Guys have a hard time seeing you as a mother to their children.

Nice to see them panic at their Ted talks that males opted out of their authoritarian fever swamp.

The article was great comedy though.

The essay deliberately avoids a critical ethnic statistic.

When I graduated from high school, almost 90% of USA students were non-Hispanic whites.

In 2024, less than 50% of USA students are non-Hispanic white.

Young Black Americans and young Hispanic Americans overwhelmingly support the Political Left.

I know the picture is supposed to show Rowan Atkinson, as being funny, and he is, but by trade, he graduated with an electrical engineering background, so he is no dummy.

The real unintended consequence will be colleges and Universities will lose standing and status. It's already happening.

Not going to college means they’ll be smarter in the long run, probably stay the same gender they were at birth and actually contribute to society.

Add to that the "demographic cliff" for colleges, scheduled to start in 2025 school year.

Actually, this is needed as there is a desperate need for practical skills that the trades provide.

When TSHTF, degrees in DEI, women’s studies, sociology, experience in HR and financial planners are going to provide NOTHING but useless, starving bodies to feed.

Men are turning away from college and the shift could have profound implications for the economy

It. will have profound implications for the economy of Deans, Associate Deans, Assistant Deans, DEI Deans, Wellness Deans, Deans in Charge of the Loot, etc.
