How can we have an ornithology discussion w/o including Nikki Birdbrain?

She gets her feathers ruffled frequently.

Squawks constantly

And is a parasitic fowl if there ever was one

Oh no! Winter is having its last hurrah in Maine. So sorry you’ve got to endure another blast of Old Man Winter. We’re getting some of it as well. Gray skies and wet/snow days all week. So. Sick. Of. It.

Stay warm and safe and tucked inside and keep us posted!

Whoa. That Barron is one handsome lad. He’s got the look of both Donald and Melania. Gonna be a few broken hearts, I dare say.

Which U.S. College Major is the Worst for Finding a Job?

Visual Capitalist article
In Thread Posted on by SeekAndFind

Finding a job can often be a Sisyphean task in this rapidly changing modern economy. Highly sought after skills come and go, following the greater tides of technology change, marketplace behavior, and shifting consumer patterns.

After all, take a look at what’s happening in the tech world.

Education plays an important role in this job hunting business of course. And some skill sets are losing their sheen, with their practitioners having a harder time than others in securing gainful employment.

But which ones are the worst right now?

…./ clip

Good grief Jem… sounds like NOLA

Hope you’re quickly back to full health. We here mumble about our doctor appointments, and travels, and trips to get medical care. For you that involves many thousand dollars travel expense, extremely long way plane trip and being away from your home away from home

I recall when you were packing you took a supply of ivermectin. Do you take it regularly as a prophylactic? I do twice a week. I use paste and get at tractor supply. The Mayor n wife Jul get capsules from India

Ah Tomas Is he essential bad but not harmful ? (except potentially to your pup)

I’m surmising you might be safer than many on Trump Train

“Finding a job can often be a Sisyphean task in this rapidly changing modern economy.”

That made me laugh. I can recall my working years and job hunting adventures. Being like Sisyphus is a good way to put it.

“Which U.S. College Major is the Worst for Finding a Job?”

That’s a really good question, as there are some strange ones out there. I’m thinking “Gender Studies” or “French Art History” (if that’s a thing).

I know it certainly wouldn’t apply to all employers, but I recall an owner of a large company calling into a radio program a few years back, up here in Canada, and his advice was this:

“I don’t care how much you know or how much experience you have. If you can prove you’re hard working, with a good attitude, honest and, above all, reliable, the company will teach you any skills required. The skills are something that can come, they can be built, the character is much more difficult.”

Someone we know has an extremely successful construction business. Years ago, he was hired by his mentor/ former boss BECAUSE he knew nothing about construction and building. He wanted a clean slate to train — and he did.

Recently, I have seen several pictures of Trump with silver, almost white, hair. I wish you would let it be that natural color because he looked so maturely handsome, and the evil propaganda media would have a much harder time using special lighting or filters to make it look orange.

Nope. I do not take ivermectin regularly. I take an anti wormer about once a month as worms are just a fact of life.

Tomas is essentially bad and very harmful. To be blunt, he would rape and murder if he were drunk and mad enough. We do not relax our vigilance at any point.

As for being safe here compared to the US, the last time I checked, there is a 100% death rate in both countries. The dangers are different but just as real in once place than another. While in March 2019 over here people were suffering with devastating floods and landslides, back in the US a storm went through our area and devastated the community of Beauregard just outside of Auburn. Beauregard is about 3 or 4 miles south of Auburn. 23 people lost their lives in that tornado.

No! There is no safety on earth apart from knowing Jesus. While being a Christian does not keep us from tragedy, He does help us deal with the aftermath and if our lives are taken, that is all to the better for us personally. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

For minor category medical crisis, I.e. appendicitis, broken bones, sprains, strains and things requiring stitches, there are now good INDONESIAN (not that quack Wycliffe doc) to go see. For serious problems, like my CAD or lymphoma, I pray God will get me home for treatment.
