For the first time that I am aware of, a person on a parole board is actually being held accountable for releasing a violent serial criminal who later went on to commit another violent crime.
I love this kind of accountability.

IMO, the parole board should have to be accountable for the
crimes these people commit.
I would say that for DAs that let folks off without bail
too.
If the criminal pulls off a major crime, these people should
have to face the music too.
I can’t say exactly what the terms should be, but the days
of them turning folks lose on society, particularly families,
women, & children, should be over. Men too of course...

It looks like Miller was thrown under the bus to distract attention away from the fact Gov J. B. Pritzker is where the buck stops.

The cost of keeping people in prison is equivalent to sending your kid to an ivy league school. The budget is only so big, so they have to figure out who to keep and who to let go. Probably, 90% of the people in prison really need to be there because they represent a danger to society. In this case, some of them who should not be released are going to be released.
Now, as for the budget, if the DOJ says you have provide sex change surgery and God knows what else, it is going to greatly increase the medical cost of the prison population, that is draining the fund required for providing meals and basic requirements. Therefore, part of the budget problem is political. Another thing is the “death” penalty. If the guy lives twenty or thirty years before it is caried out, he is part of the problem of not being able to keep really bad actors in prison. A lot of the problems could be solved if there was any political will to do so. There isn’t.

Finally, somebody with a conscience. It’s extremely rare. I truly wish laws would be established to hold District Attorneys, Judges, and Attorney Generals criminally responsible, along with the violent offenders they’ve released to the street, and who commit another crime within a short period of time. They need to be held accountable for their stupidity.

Condolences to family and friends of Jayden Perkins. Crosetti Brand back to prison? Death penalty? Death is not a “penalty”. It’s justice.

Resigning is not enough. The serious irreversible consequences of her
reckless actions require seppuku as her only just path to atonement.

I love this kind of accountability. It wasn't her fault. Her intentions were good.

If he doesn't end up in jail (or worse), he is NOT being held accountable...
