Judge Arthur Engoron has issued an order that will allow former President Trump’s finances and assets to be monitored for three years.
In other words, Trump’s estate will be babysat by Barbara Jones, a retired federal judge. The judge will also have full authority over giving suggestions for court-ordered changes in how the Trump Organization operates.
The order comes after Trump is facing a $464 million judgment paid in his New York civil fraud case despite his appeal still pending.
On Thursday, the judge ruled that the court must monitor and notify the watchdog about any efforts Trump makes to receive the payment for the bond. The appeals court has also put a temporary halt on the judgment orders that prohibit Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. from continuing to run the company.
“Based on the Court's findings in its February 16th Order, the Court ordered the continued monitoring of Defendants' financial and accounting practices and disclosures, including an enhanced role for the Monitor, for a period of no less than three years, as well as the appointment of an Independent Director of Compliance," Engoron wrote in the order.
Jones will have to notify the court of any large cash transfers, the creation or dissolution of assets, the restructuring of debt, and "any efforts to secure surety bonds” that Trump makes. The 2024 GOP candidate will also be required to provide the court with monthly bank statements.

It’s time to quit doing business with companies in New York.
We need another stock exchange besides NY, NASDAQ, and Chicago.
Maybe Florida.
Then freeze out NY entirely.
I doubt it. They will all play ball with the govt and avoid what Trump has endured.
The reporting on this is so over the top because this ruling by this communist judge and AG will NEVER STAND. Treating this ruling seriously and with a straight face is like seriously and somberly saying the Pope was arrested in a whore house drunk with his pants down.
The first “Federal” (Not the state of new york!!) appellate judges to look at this will stay all of it if not dismiss it in it’s entirety if they EVER want the American Judiciary System to be respected by anybody on the planet or in the heavens. And, they might as well bulldoze NYC.
So, the judge gets to make business decisions for the Trump/Co.? WTH? How is this legal?
Very interesting. Thanks for the history lesson!
+1.
I misread your post. I thought I read people WILL get riled up enough to punish the leftists. You are right. They wont. As long as they are not affected by it personally they won’t care. Some, even on the right, will be happy that a wealthy person is getting soaked.
Does the babysitter have fridge privileges?

Can the boyfriend come over?
boyfriend -
Excuse me - gender fluid friend
Babysat?
Hey - There are no more babies, abortion, you know.
We’re no longer a republic.
Legal is whatever Deep State thinks it can get away with doing.
Sadly, that’s apparently true; we live in a DICTATORSHIP, which is comprised of more than one dictator...a whole army of them.

PAYBACK IS STILL A BITCH
This latest ruling will be shot down on appeal, along with the rest of the ruling, if it ever makes its way to the Supreme Court. What’s uncertain is whether the case will reach SCOTUS before Trump is financially ruined, or whether it will make it to SCOTUS at all.
He appears to be doing just that
It is not legal, and the ComDems just ignore it.
The judge pulled this one out of his ....hat..of course.
Nothing will get the people riled up enough to punish the leftists.“
You’re not wrong. They raided an ex Presidents house and the creeps ransacked the former 1st Ladies personal items, was there a big backlash? No. This lawless “Judge” keeps inventing new ways to cripple a Presidential candidate and nothing is being done about it. Every SC Justice has the authority to smack the little prick down but nothing happens
Seems it would violate the 4th amendment. Is their precedence for this?? I doubt it.
