The Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization claimed responsibility for Friday's attack at a concert hall in Moscow in which at least 40 people were killed and 100 injured.

Other time…That means not this time.
Be mad at Putin. He’s the one who ignored the terror warnings.
I recall that right after 9/11 when members of Congress were gathered in front of the Capitol, there was a congressman who stepped to the microphone and said, “They (the terrorists) want to eradicate us. We need to eradicate them first.”
That will be what it ultimately takes to end this threat.
“Like clockwork, certain FReepers were already trying to blame Ukraine for this attack, despite having zero evidence ...”
Well, there is this war going on between both countries so……
This is a political and a domesticThis is a political and a domestic Public Relations catastrophy for Putin.
However it was catastrophic for the victims who were out having fun on a Friday night, few, if any who had anything to do with the invasion of Ukraine.
Putin’s solution is to build more mosques in Russia.
Obama didn’t ‘create’ it...but, it only became a major, flourishing terror organization thanks to his inaction. And it is now growing again thanks to Biden’s.
Yeah, right. Putin knows who’s behind this.
Jeezus man are you wrong.
ISIS is Al Qaeda in Iraq (AIQ) which was chased out of Iraq by 2009. They fled cross border into Syria as Syria had been supplying them and providing shelter since 2003. They recouped in Syria and would raid Iraq for weapons, money and assets.
They grew members and organization. After the Coalition withdrew in 2009 they were unopposed in Iraq. As Syria destabilized the assisted Syrian forces in the civil war against Assad gathering weapons, money and assets.
They are opportunists attacking where defenses are weakest to gain strength. Up until 2009 Syria and the KGB assisted them. Once the US withdrew they were shunned, their usefulness being over. So they turned against their former benefactors.
At this point they’re basically mad dogs conducting Vengeance operations for funding, notoriety and recruits. Attacking Russia doesn’t make sense unless they were bombed by Russia and thus retaliation.
Yes, the US would have intel. You’d be surprised how many nations and organizations in the Middle East will talk to the Americans but no one else. Basically all of them. We’re the only trusted presence there. Everyone else is gaming for power and control over everyone else. But the US has endless Reserve Currency printing presses so already has the money. Have money, have power. The US has both.
> We need to eradicate them first. <
Totally agree. After 9/11, the West needed to go all medieval on radical Islam, much like FDR did against Imperial Japan. But instead Bush II told us “Islam is peace”.
So here we are. I suppose a course-correction is possible. But many, many innocents are going to die first.
Isis, that’s that group we got started and supplied to overthrow Assad. Interesting.
You may be right, but it does fit their style, and they don’t usually claim credit for others’ doings
Might be, it’s because of Russia’s support for Assad, and their fierce fight against ISIS in that country
But it sure changed the war calculus quickly, didn’t it?
You are a laugh a minute, because that is exactly what you do except reversed. If you were a US citizen you would make a great Democrat or RINO, projecting what you do upon others.
That was actually Putin that made that claim. Prove that Putin was wrong with his claim to prove that you aren't biased against Russia, you cuck douche-canoe.
Does anyone think something like this isn’t going to happen here before the election?
...most likely worse.
Communism vs Radical Islam. It’s on!
How do you know he ignored the warnings?
Can you verify that other planned attack(s) were not thwarted? We have no idea what was, or wasn't, done behind the scenes over there.
As they say, state governments have to be right 100% of the time, while the jihadis only need to be lucky occasionally to cause chaos and damage.
Interesting to see that Putin is actually as tall as or taller than half the men in the picture.
Actually I came to this site, because an hour ago and more I spent some time looking at the Ukraine and Russia information concerning the ongoing hostilities. I then walked into another room where the 4 pm news was talking about 40 people being killed in a theater. I only caught a minute of this and it was not clear to me what was happening. Then I went to look at BBC news which had a more detailed description. I was surprised when I clicked russia into the Search bar and nothing had been listed by any of the Ukraine/Russia verbal contenders since January.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PEOPLE, REMEMBER TO ENTER IMPORTANT WORDS INTO Keywords AT THE TOP OF EACH ARTICLE POSTED. Words like UKRAINE, RUSSIA, PUTIN, RUSSIANELECTIONS, etc.
Finally this article about ISIS and the bombings showed up in the top of the list at the right of our computer pages. I had already looked for “terror attack at russian theater, today” at Google. All the major media, MSM, TV and print had already gotten their news linked by Google. I tried to find one to post that was NOT MSM, and found the one below.
https://deadline.com/2024/03/moscow-concert-hall-shooting-1235866197/
In sum, at least 40 people died, there is fire, 3 to 5 men in military gear and heavy hand weapons were involved, Molitov cocktails were thrown, panic and hiding, etc. I am surprised that none of our avid commenters had commented on this or posted an article at the Search bar for Russia? One thing in the link I posted, apparently the possibility of a Ukraine connection was looked at. Here it seems that ISIS is the one at fault.
Maybe so. But what does that have to do with my post?
THAT’S BULL SHIT!
