Sounds like he just fell down at a bad spot.

If his friends were telling the truth he wasn’t that drunk, then probably. There was a reason the bar threw him out. Those “friends” are highly questionable letting him leave in that condition by himself.

However, Strain was seemingly captured crossing Gay Street at around 9:47 p.m. after leaving the bar Seems like nothing good can come of crossing Gay Street.
Poor young man. May he rest in peace.

I have seen people in Nashville bars take their shirts off and scream at the top of their lungs without getting kicked out. He had to be pretty bad off.
I think these “friends” are saying this to ease their own conscience.

Yeah, When I saw how close he was to the Cumberland River I figured he fell in some how. It is sad for the family.
To: bgill
I read somewhere that they had been bar hopping/ day drinking.

“THAT DRUNK” by the standards kids use today is a far cry from OK.

Maybe they need fences from keeping drunks from falling into the river.

Someone found his credit card on the bank of the river. Doesn’t everyone shed their credit cards before they accidentally fall into a river?

I think either the bar is lying about how much he had to drink (to cover their ass legally) or he had some more to drink SOMEWHERE else. Then, he stumbled out on the street/riverbank and some low life mugged him.

Heartbroken 💔 for his family. His “friends will have to live with this.
